Does anyone know who the real enemy is any more? There is going to be more news of slaughters in the Middle East because the Islamic State is going to challenge every nation there. Assad retains control over an estimated 40-60% of Syria. Iraq has been halved with just the south remaining. Lebanon will likely fall under IS control and that is bad news for the Christians who have lived there for centuries. Jordan is girding for an attack. Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States are watching the situation with increasing apprehension. The Islamic State has been officially designated as...

It was during the Battle of Mobile Bay on August 5, 1864, when Admiral David Farragut ordered what would eventually be a successful run through a minefield and eventually lead to an important Union victory and the capture of Mobile Bay, the final Confederate-held port east of the Mississippi River. When Farragut, lashed to the rigging in order to see above the smoke of the battle, saw his ships slow as they approached and was told there were torpedoes (mines) in their path, he was reported to have said, "Damn the torpedoes! Go ahead!" or "Full speed ahead!" No one...

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)Military personnel at a government-run health science university in Maryland were reportedly instructed not to eat or drink in front of Muslims during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. The brigade commander at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda sent an email last month to military personnel instructing them to show respect toward their Muslim colleagues during Ramadan fasting, which ended July 28, Fox News reported. “This is a period of great personal restraint and commitment in addition to renewed focus on worship,” Col. Kevin Glasz reportedly wrote in the email. “I’d like to encourage you...

U.S. Betrays Military Men Who Protected Brazil from Communist Threat By Julio Severo Henry Kissinger once said, “In this world it is often dangerous to be an enemy of the United States, but to be a friend is fatal.” Brazilian military officials, who made significant sacrifices to protect Brazil from the massive Soviet, Chinese and Cuban communist threat in the 1960s and 1970s, will know what Kissinger meant. According to the Brazilian paper O Globo, by a resolution of President Barack Obama, the U.S. government has created a task force to identify documents produced between 1964 and 1984 regarding...

Jesse Ventura has won the defamation lawsuit he filed against the widow of Chris Kyle, Navy SEAL and author of American Sniper. Somehow he convinced a jury that his reputation was sullied when Kyle told the world Ventura acted the fool at another SEALs funeral and then got knocked out. Ventura said he was suing the widow and kids because of his reputation, not for the money. So setting aside the grotesquerie that he even won, he should refuse to take the cash. He proved his case, he was vindicated, so he should be the "big man" he claims to...

A federal judge has slammed Miami-Dade County for knocking down the home of an active United States soldier. The county sent a number of violation notices. The US Army Staff Sergeant said he was doing what he could while fighting overseas, but the county demolished his home anyway. All that is left is an empty field with a tattered American flag and a sign that says: “This is how the U.S. Government thanks the service of an active army soldier.” CBS4 spoke with Sergeant First Class Jesus Jimenez who’s now stationed in Texas about what happened to his home. “That...

On this date in 1958, the USS Nautilus, the first nuclear-powered submarine, became the first naval vessel to reach the North Pole, having traveled under the icepack from the Barrow Sea across the North Pole and eventually surfacing north of Greenland. SSN-571 would be decommissioned in 1980, declared a National Historic Landmark in 1982, and is now a museum ship in Groton, Connecticut.

An Israeli analyst told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Friday morning that he received information from reliable sources that 3,000 Hamas elite soldiers told their families goodbye and appear ready to carry out suicide attacks on Israel. Middle East analyst Gershon Baskin said that all the fighters were equipped with suicide vests and that they had expected to die in terrorist attacks. Baskin spoke just hours after a Hamas suicide attack, believed to have been conducted by the group’s militant wing Ezzedine al-Qassam brigade, killed two Israeli soldiers. During the surprise Hamas attack, which happened two hours into the 72-hour agreement for...

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin hammered Jesse Ventura for winning a $2 million defamation lawsuit this week against Chris Kyle's widow. After Kyle's death, Ventura continued with the lawsuit that stemmed from a passage from Kyle's book in which Kyle claimed he knocked out an unnamed Navy SEAL for trashing the troops. During his book tour, Kyle said that was Ventura. But after Kyle was tragically killed in 2013, many felt that Ventura, who has done a lot to damage his own reputation over the years, should have dropped the lawsuit. "Hey tough guy, Jesse Ventura, your feelings were hurt...

What’s the fastest way to admit guilt? Censor the truth. Reader, you put the pieces together on this one, and trust your instincts. What follows is a true account of the events of 48 hours, and more broadly, of several years. It is a microcosm of everything that is wrong with American politics in the Age of Obama, where both parties are complicit in a national suicide pact. Beyond the corrupt politics of petty corruption, the political establishment is not only silent about an ongoing genocide in the Middle East and North Africa, but actively providing support, weapons, and training...

In 1944, Poland’s political situation grew increasingly precarious as Soviet forces moved into eastern Poland. In the West, unbeknownst to the Poles, the Allies had agreed to give Joseph Stalin a free hand in eastern Europe after the war. In Poland itself, the brutality of the German occupation continued unabated, with thousands dying every day in camps, summary executions and street round ups. Polish resistance forces were unified under the aegis of the Armia Krajowa, or Home Army (AK, pronounced “Ahh-Kah”). (The only exceptions were the miniscule Communist movement and a small group on the right, the ONR.) This underground...

Moscow is preparing a bill to prevent Russian troops from posting selfies and other photographs on social media sites, according to July 29 reports. The proposed legislation came after soldiers published images on social media sites with captions saying they had been firing artillery into Ukraine. “We shelled Ukraine all night long,” Russian soldier Vadim Grigoryev wrote beneath a picture of weaponry he published last week on Vkontakte, Russia’s most popular social media network.

This article is the first in a series that highlights key issues in Africa in relation to the first-ever U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit taking place in Washington, D.C., on Aug. 4-6. WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Africans are among the most likely in the world to believe people in their countries can get ahead by working hard. The 85% of Africans who said they believed this in 2013 rivals results found in more developed nations, and is on par with the 84% who believe this in Northern America. This faith in work ethic could be a major asset to plans that may emerge...

Reports are beginning to surface that tell a horrifying story of a near miss for the state of Israel. The Palestinians have been using billions in aid money to build their terror tunnel network for a massive attack they started planning 12 years ago! The JTA reported: Hamas planned to use the tunnels it dug from Gaza to Israel to execute a massive attack on southern Israel, an Israeli newspaper reported, citing unnamed Israeli security sources. Under the plan detailed Friday by the Hebrew-language Maariv daily, Hamas planned to send terrorists through the more than 30 tunnels uncovered by Israeli...
