After the Obama cult of personality cashed in on superfluous adoration during the 2008 and 2012 campaigns (See: “I’ve Got a Crush on Obama“), it appears Democrats will go back to that well once more for Hillary Clinton. The Washington Post notes that the Clinton campaign’s imminence is causing a bandwagon effect:

Not since U2 gave its new album to every Apple iTunes user whether they wanted it or not has music felt this much like a threat. Produced by a group called Stand with Hillary, the country music video walks a fine line between over-earnest promotion and accidental satire. But the group behind the clip appears to be completely sincere. The Washington Post reports that Stand with Hillary's creators are "Daniel Chavez, a longtime Democratic political operative, and media producer Miguel Orozco." Orozco wrote the song which is a very different flavor from his previous efforts for Obama in 2008.

Some of us have supported Newt Gingrich from the beginning of his campaign, and others of us have supported you. Our purpose here is to advise you that those of us who have stood by you are now withdrawing our backing in favor of Newt Gingrich. We’ve come to our decision based on our belief that your support of the Hispanic community is not a clear representation of what we need.
