LINCOLN, Neb. - The defendant in a state senator's lawsuit is accused of causing untold death and horror and threatening to cause more still. He can be sued in Douglas County, the legislator claims, because He's everywhere. State Sen. Ernie Chambers sued God last week. Angered by another lawsuit he considers frivolous, Chambers says he's trying to make the point that anybody can file a lawsuit against anybody. Chambers says in his lawsuit that God has made terroristic threats against the senator and his constituents, inspired fear and caused "widespread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the...

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- More than half of North Carolina military members surveyed in the latest Elon University poll disapprove of President Bush's handling of the war in Iraq and his overall job performance. Nearly 53 percent of military members said they strongly disapproved or disapproved of Bush's handling of his job. And just more than 56 percent of that same group strongly disapproved or disapproved of how he has dealt with the Iraq war. Overall, 53 percent of those surveyed for the poll released Friday did not approve of Bush's job performance, while 57 percent did not approve of his...

America is a nation on the decline because of our move away from God and religion and our love of secularism. Children are taught evil, immoral things in school such as how to put condoms on bananas and Darwin's theory of evolution. Mandatory prayer in public schools has been forced out, along with theology. These wonderful Biblical things have been replaced by an ungodly love of science and other anti-Christian, anti-moral subjects. Most of Europe has plunged itself into the depraved depths of Sodom and Gomorrah because of its secularism. America is well on its way to following them. But...

The coming economic crisis. Unemployment. Health care for the poor. The almost 1,500 dead soldiers. The almost 100,000 dead Iraqis. Armstrong Williams and Maggie Gallagher. The Christian Conservative takeover of our nation. The missing 9 billion. The missing weapons of mass destruction. The impending invasion of Iran, and Syria. The total failure to protect us on 9-11.

You and your fascist co-horts will all be sorry when the Bush* administration is charged with stealing this election. His administration and this website is nothing more then propaganda for a fascist regime. We are watching you, and we will be there when you slip up and your face down on the ground because you slipped on your own Nazi style propaganda. John Kerry won this election and you know it! Everyone knows it!

A candidate for state office in the great state of Washington appears headed for defeat even before the first absentee ballots are mailed in. (This is my first post on FreeRepublic, by the way, so bear with me if I make a few errors.) David Blomstrom is a candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction who issued a press release calling for the "legal or quasi-legal" execution of President George W. Bush. It was discussed in this thread http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1168765/posts Apparently, his actions were legal, as his sites are still online. But the website may outlive Blomstrom. Check his campaign website, at...

<p>I'm a true American patriot who is a pro-American voter. Thus, I support John Kerry for president because I want America needs our country back: we're tired of having our national security weakened, our 1st Amendment disregarded by the American Taliban (i.e. religious right) and want to restore respect back to the White House after 4 years of a failed presidency. God Bless America and John Kerry, the man who real patriotic Americans support.</p>

Hello, I'm new here. I saw an article about FReeping David Letterman, and I'm just curious as to what that is all about. I mean, how do you freep someone basically? Just get the contact info for them and fire off complaints? Do you do them in person? Do you go after unpopular individuals like bloggers and the like, or just after "popular" (I use that term to mean people who are generally well known) people? I don't know much about this, so basically just want to hear your thoughts on it.

This site makes reasonable conservatives look like Nazis. You people have no logic... "Goyette is anti-war, anti-Bush!" Nice leap there.

Bush has a fork in him. Look at the polls. You see them. What makes you think it's gonna get any better for the appointed one? Only the dedicated neo-cons support this clown. Your boy is toast. I hope you guys won't do anything rash after he loses horribly on November 2. President Kerry will make this country much better. Just keep that in mind and you'll be fine. Better yet, jump on the Kerry bandwagon and support a return to peace and prosperity. Come on guys, I'm on your side.

I am graduating with a masters tomorrow and I have yet to find a job. I have been looking for over a year and cant find one. My field is educational technology (curriculum design for corporations and businesses ie training). I have an idea, we could get every new college grad to send their resume to Bush demanding that he find them a job and flood the whitehouse with resumes of unemployed white collar workers then perhaps he will wake up and do something instead of spouting off about how there are jobs and he created them. I am trying...

Is anyone of the Democratic persuasion welcome here, or are you crazy Republicans going to kick me off? Do any of you know how freaking ridiculous things are getting with George Bush in office? Let's do the list: assaults the environment, rising unemployment, rising gas prices, rising hatred of us across the globe, a phony war with over 700 Americans dead, POW torture, overtime pay almost done away with.....the list goes on and on. It's CRAZY.

Democrats are in a tizzy over news that the economy grew 7.2 percent in the last quarter, the fastest such growth since 1984. "Oh, no!" was their secret, instant cry. "Does this mean we can't blast Bush on the economy anymore? And if so, what does that do to our 2004 prospects?" Let's stipulate right here that Republicans remain the market leaders when it comes to praying for bad news that is good news for them politically. (If I didn't say this, right-wing talk show hosts would seize on this column as proof that this liberal is revealing his party's...

This paper was prepared by students from Northwestern University Law School and the University of Chicago Law School. We believe this paper will ultimately be faxed, mailed and e-mailed to several million Americans. For this reason, we have chosen to write in a style and format that is easily understood by readers at all levels. This paper has one aim: To show that ample evidence exists to issue an indictment against former President George Herbert Walker Bush (#41, father of George W. Bush) for the crime of murder in regard to the people who perished in terrorist attacks in the...

Every one with the truth is banned at this waste of internet. HAH! Bunch of Republican butt kissers. Do you think that is where the truth is. I am proud to know what is right and to say it, not just kiss up to to Jim and the GOP. Your arrogance will be your downfall, just like Soddom and Gomorrha. I am outa here but good.

<p>"Trying to eliminate Saddam ... would have incurred incalculable human and political costs. Apprehending him was probably impossible. ... We would have been forced to occupy Baghdad and, in effect, rule Iraq. ... [T]here was no viable 'exit strategy' we could see, violating another of our principles. Furthermore, we had been self-consciously trying to set a pattern for handling aggression in the post-Cold War world. Going in and occupying Iraq, thus unilaterally exceeding the United Nations' mandate, would have destroyed the precedent of international response to aggression that we hoped to establish. Had we gone the invasion route, the United States could conceivably still be an occupying power in a bitterly hostile land."</p>

All the President's votes? 14 October 2003 A quiet revolution is taking place in US politics. By the time it's over, the integrity of elections will be in the unchallenged, unscrutinised control of a few large - and pro-Republican - corporations. Andrew Gumbel wonders if democracy in America can surviveSomething very odd happened in the mid-term elections in Georgia last November. On the eve of the vote, opinion polls showed Roy Barnes, the incumbent Democratic governor, leading by between nine and 11 points. In a somewhat closer, keenly watched Senate race, polls indicated that Max Cleland, the popular Democrat...

Jay: We have a special guest: Arnold Schwarzenegger, star of the reprehensible Terminator movies. Arnold: Jay, my new film is a mixture of action and comedy. Prior to leading the United States Senate through "our long national nightmare," Sam Erin, the nononsense North Carolinian, once explained that a "city lawyer learns more and more about less and less until he knows nothing," while a "country lawyer learns less and less about more and more until he knows nothing." Those prophetic words aptly punctuated the final chapter of Richard Nixon's unmitigated rampage from the California penumbra to the Washington eclipse. After RN's last rank of mulish followers retreated to the Capital in preparation for the trial of the century--and of democracy--the world's most powerful legislators and their...

I am very shocked by the current propaganda against France and, in a minor extent, Germany and the EU, which is developing on the American web and media. As we are some "old Europe" countries, let me tell you that some elements of this propaganda remind me of the atmosphere that existed between European peoples of 1914-18 : the Frenchman is the USA's Jew, the traitor, the coward, which plants knives in the back. These are paranoid ideas. Bush has declared "you are with us or you are against us"… your enemies are "evil's axis"… A deeply thought political theory...
