Too Little, Too Late for Rush Limbaugh? Republican Allies and Advertisers Continue To Desert Host Despite Apology Conservative radio host slammed Georgetown University's Sandra Fluke Seven advertisers responded by dropping their ads on his show By MEGHAN KENEALLY 5th March 2012 Newt Gingrich was the latest Republican presidential candidate to distance himself from the controversial radio commentator Rush Limbaugh following his tirade against a law student that he deemed a 'slut'. Appearing on a Sunday morning news program, Mr Gingrich said that it was 'silly' to suggest that Mr Limbaugh speaks on behalf of the entire Republican party, and that...

Who is needed in the White House? Penetrating Video Performance from Meet the Press Shown Here Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy Get the concept? Will Republican voters respond with their hearts, or be pimped out for the candidate flashing the same big, globalist bankster money that gets Obama to put out for them?

Dee Dee Myers, former press secretary to President Bill Clinton, goes on Meet the Press and calls Newt Gingrich a political "sociopath." Does moderator David Gregory call her out? Nope. To the contrary, Gregory proceeds to play a clip of convicted felon Jack Abramoff accusing Newt of "corruption." View the video here.

Despite Godfather’s Pizza CEO Herman Cain's precipitous rise in the polls, New York Times columnist David Brooks seems to think that the Republican presidential nomination is former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney’s to lose. “It’s not a primary process. In the primary process you have several candidates and they go after each other. We don't have that. We have one plausible candidate and a bunch of other guys who are prepping him for the Obama onslaught. So, basically they attack him.”

Reading the transcript, what strikes me is how slow-witted Gregory was. Repeatedly, Cain makes a simple, clear point, but Gregory doesn’t seem to get it. This became almost painful during an exchange about state sales taxes: MR. GREGORY: The other defect in the plan comes from fellow conservatives who say, “You’ve got some problems here.” … “The real political defect,” the Journal writes, “of the Cain plan is that it imposes a new national sales tax while maintaining the income tax. … A 9 percent rate when combined with state and local levies would mean a tax on goods of...

In case you missed Meet the Press Sunday morning: Blah, blah, blah, job growth... unemployment numbers. Blah, blah, blah, recession... debt reduction. Blah, blah, blah recovery... tax credits. Blah, blah, blah health care... social security. Blah, blah, blah, Democrats... Republicans. Blah. And so it went up to the interview with Rick Santorum and through the first 12 minutes and 41 seconds of his appearance, when David Gregory finally got around to asking about something vital, critical, pivotal – the number one make or break issue for any candidate, the single most important issue facing our country, an issue important in...

While plying through a typical Sunday night routine, finishing the evening with a liberal dose of "Meet The Press" from my trusty DVR, I found myself amazed at a graphic display that seemed "slightly off" in its accuracy--to put it mildly. David "die you nutty Birther" Gregory was expounding on US foreign policy with some info-chick from the Obama administration (Amb. Rice) about the brewing Islamic Caliphate in the Mideast. As the two were discussing the various nations' Democratic "birthing pains," a graphic was flashed up on the screen about the nation of Bahrain. Bahrain is an island nation which...

What Did Wade Rathke Know About Egypt that the CIA Didn’t and What Will Obama Do Now?Michael Gaynor at Emerging Corruption has done some digging into the situation in Egypt – about how much Wade Rathke knew about it beforehand and what influence Obama may wish to have on the situation now. Former Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-Ariz.) said Sunday that the Obama administration supports “no enforcement” of immigration law as he defended Arizona’s controversial statute that gives police new powers to question people they suspect are in the country illegally. The Justice Department is suing to block the statute, claiming it illegally preempts federal law. “It should come as no surprise that any number of people who advocate open borders and advocate no enforcement of the law, including this current administration, are trying to throw up these roadblocks,” Hayworth said on the CBS program “Face the Nation.” Hayworth is challenging Sen. John...

MR. GREGORY: Did the president do the right thing? SEN. McCAIN: Yes, he did, and he took the appropriate steps, in my view. I would like to say, in General McChrystal's behalf, that he played a key role in Iraq in the efforts against al-Qaeda. A lot of this is not known and will--may never be known. But General McChrystal did a great job there. The president took appropriate action, and we wish General McChrystal well in the future. ... SEN. McCAIN: First of all, there's no excuse for it, OK? There's no excuse for it. But part of it,...

wanted to watch Kentucky's Republican Senate Candidate Rand Paul on Meet The Press today. After a week of sound byte from and about Dr. Paul and his confrontational appearance on Rachel Maddow's program, I was hoping an interview on the more mainstream Sunday morning staple would allow the candidate to give a clearer impression of his views on civil rights and, specifically, the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Unfortunately, he refused to show up. As a strong believer in smaller government and less government interference in the lives of American citizens, I consider myself part of the Tea Party movement...

Since Rand Paul has dropped out of this weeks episode of Meet the Press Mark Levin has requested that David Gregory invite him to come on instead. Levin, knowing Gregory doesn't have the guts to invite him on, then precedes to take him to town. Enjoy this clip from our friends at The Right Scoop: (more)

Back in January, Harold Ford, Jr. proclaimed to Chris Matthews no fewer than four times: "I am a New Yorker" [see amusing video after the jump]. But that profession of Big Apple-hood apparently didn't cut it with NBC. Even as Ford was discussing today his reasons for not entering the New York Dem senatorial primary against Kirsten Gillibrand, Meet The Press displayed the graphic seen here, labelling Ford "(D-TN)."

New York Times columnist David Brooks says that what Vice President Joe Biden told NBC's David Gregory Sunday concerning the trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in New York City doesn't pass the laugh test. "What Joe Biden said on ['Meet the Press'] today will be laughed at around the Arab world." Maybe even more shocking, speaking during the panel discussion segment that followed Biden's interview, Brooks agreed with some things former Vice President Dick Cheney spoke about concerning this matter on ABC's "This Week." "The KSM trial has become a total mess. What Joe Biden said today on the program...

Here is video of the Meet the Press panel today discussing the political climate in the wake of President Obama's State of the Union Address, and the election of Scott Brown to the U.S. Senate. Eugene Robinson said the White House believes "they have moved to the center." They think they have already accomplished that. Mort Zuckerman said he was disappointed in Obama's State of the Union Address, believing Obama needed to set forth a much more "comprehensive" approach to the economy. . . . . (VIDEO)

Although MTP does not have their lineup for this coming Sunday on their website, David Gregory said on Morning Joe today that Valerie Jarrett would be appearing. If you have seen Ms. Jarrett on tv before answering questions, you can tell she just regurgitates talking points, and usually does a very poor job at that. If Gregory starts asking about the slapdown Barry got in Mass. with the Brown election, it will be interesting to see her response. Although Barry has still been getting a pass from most of the MSM, they are becoming increasingly aggressive towards his minions like...
