Now this… Ferguson Mayor James Knowles told FOX 2 anchors late on Monday night that he had repeatedly requested the National Guard Monday night… But his requests were ignored. “I know I’ve been on the phone in contact with the County Executive’s Office. I know he has requested. I am requesting. I’ve requested the National Guard troops to come out from their command post to help restore order along the business district. We have not seen that… Those calls have gone unheeded at this point… We need to have the governor step up and give us the resources that he’s...

The website ontheissues.org notes that: "Since an abortive run for Congress in 1992 while still a City Councilor, Menino has supported legal abortion and the public funding of abortion. In his first campaign for Mayor in 1993, he indicated that he would continue the practice of taxpayer finance abortions at Boston City Hospital." See here. As Mayor of Boston, Thomas Menino marched with homosexuals, promoted same-sex "marriage," and expressed his desire to keep the restaurant chain Chicj-fil-A out of Boston because of its adherence to Biblical values. Yesterday was a sad day for the nation’s bloggers. After a long, fruitful run of stories involving binge drinking parties, DWI, crack smoking and gaffes which provided fodder for late night shows and web editors alike, the Ford family will exit the offices of the Toronto mayor. Rob Ford’s brother Doug has lost his last minute bid to replace his ailing sibling. Doug Ford, the almost equally colorful brother of blustery, crack-smoking Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, lost his bid to succeed his brother in the city’s top job Monday night — but the scandal-ridden mayor was elected to the...

Take a look at P.J. Gladnick’s post over at Newsbusters . The gist: Houston Mayor Annise Parker’s daughter had trouble getting her driving test done to get her driver’s license. Parker, a lesbian who married her partner out of state after being elected mayor of Texas’ largest city, blamed the problem on the Texas Department of Public Safety and, specifically, on Texas law which does not recognize same-sex marriage. Their daughters are adopted and they also have a foster son. Parker launched her blame game in this tweet. Daughter needs drivers test. Has all docs, some in MomA name, some...

I’m not gay. I get called gay all the time by Leftists who seek to disparage me when they’ve run out of their specious, illogical arguments and the full weight of common sense lands on their fetid heads and they have no other recourse but to go ad hominem on me and say, “he must be gay.” Which, like I said, I take they equate with a cut down; which is weird because, supposedly, they’re the homosexual’s champion. For what it’s worth, the only gay thing about me is, and I must confess, I did tear up a bit during...

"There are two things that I harken back to this. The only way that we are going to beat this is person by person, moment by moment, detail by detail. We have those protocols in place, the city and county, working closely with the CDC and the hospital. The second is we want to minimize rumors and maximize facts. We want to deal with facts, not fear.

"A crowd of 300 angry protestors forced three buses carrying 140 undocumented migrant children and their parents to turn around in Murrieta, California, on Tuesday after they blocked the road. The dramatic confrontation between the flag waving protestors and the Homeland Security buses came one day after Mayor Alan Long urged residents to resist the federal government's plan to transfer the Central American migrants to California to ease overcrowding of facilities along the Texas-Mexico border. Holding up banners that said 'Return to Sender' and suggesting the children should be sent to the White House instead, the irate protestors succeeded when...

"If anything should happen to Mayor Bill de Blasio, you're looking at the next mayor of the City of New York," Tish James pointed out as she introduced Representative Charlie Rangel at a Harlem church on Sunday. While it's true that, as Public Advocate, James stands first in the line of succession to New York's mayoralty, we're didn't realize that it was on the forefront of her mind. Be careful over at City Hall, Bill.
