SACRAMENTO (AP) - One of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's picks for the state Board of Education has resigned a week before a Senate committee was scheduled to vote on her confirmation. Jeannine Martineau, who was named to the board in January 2004, said Wednesday that she reluctantly withdrew her name because she was offered another "phenomenal" position in education.
