ROME, September 8, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) -- The public confusion over whether the Vatican’s upcoming Ordinary Synod on the Family will somehow endorse divorce has been cleared up by Pope Francis, as he said definitively today that marriage is “indissoluble,” meaning that it is permanent until death. In his decrees released today on annulments -- declarations that a marriage was invalid from the beginning – the Holy Father moved to make it easier and faster to determine nullity of a marriage and eliminated the cost for such deliberations. But in doing so he also reaffirmed that as far as God and...

Why does it surprise anyone when chaos reigns in America's inner cities when it just reflects the chaos now reigning in our whole country? I open my dictionary to the word "civilize" and I read: "1. to bring out of a condition of savagery or barbarism; to instruct in the ways of an advanced society. 2. to better the habits or manners of; refine." Somehow it's lost in today's liberal-controlled America that a civilized society does not emerge spontaneously from individuals giving maximum vent to their impulses. Civilization is the product of living by truths and rules, received through tradition,...
  • Black Lesbian Judge Refused To Perform Straight Marriages, No Jail Time – No Media Outrage

Our story takes us back to 2012 where an openly gay judge refused to issue marriage licenses. New York Daily News reported: An openly gay Texas judge says she refuses to conduct marriage ceremonies for straight couples until same-sex couples can also wed. Dallas County Judge Tonya Parker explained her decision Tuesday at a monthly meeting for the Stonewall Democrats of Dallas. “I do not perform them because it is not an equal application of the law. Period,” she said, according to the Dallas Voice, a newspaper for the gay community. “So I usually will offer them something along the...
  • The word "Matrimony" comes from "Mater". (Mother)

I suspected that there was something inherent in the roots of the word "Matrimony" which would establish it's meaning as being between a man and a woman. I believe a word can be better understood by looking up how it came to us from older languages, and so I consulted an online etymology dictionary. It said the word "Matrimony" is derived from the word "Mater", which means "Mother" in Latin. This is a clear indication that the intended purpose is to begat children.
  • Attorney For Kim Davis: Clerks Issuing Gay Marriage Licenses are the Ones Breaking the Law [VIDEO]

As Kim Davis was released from jail today, she stood outside with Gov. Mike Huckabee and her attorney Matt Staver as they answered a few questions from the press. During the impromptu presser, Staver claimed that it is not Kim Davis who broke the law, but rather the clerks issuing licenses in her absence. Davis, through Staver, has taken the position that all the licenses issued since her refusal are invalid under the law, and that furthermore, she would have been breaking the law if she had issued them absent any direction from state lawmakers in Kentucky:

With the completion of the Synod on the Family coming next month, Pope Francis has moved to take one item more or less off the table. In the Extraordinary Synod that kicked off the yearlong debate within the Catholic Church on outreach to broken families, a conflict arose around proposals to allow divorced and remarried Catholics to remain in communion regardless of whether they received dispensation to remarry through an annulment. The pontiff issued two changes to the annulment process that may have short-circuited those efforts from the bishops in Germany: ABC Breaking News | Latest News Videos Francis’...

Supporters of a Kentucky county clerk jailed for refusing to issue marriage licenses brought their fight to Northern Kentucky, protesting Monday outside the home of the federal judge who's jailed her for contempt.About two dozen people, including ministers from Kentucky and North Carolina, demanded Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis be freed, saying she shouldn't be compelled to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples because doing so would violate her Christian beliefs. After the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in June that state bans on same-sex marriage were unconstitutional, Davis halted issuing all marriage licenses. Two same-sex couples and two straight couples sued...

Francis states in his preface to the Latin-rite decree that he is partly making the changes to the annulment process on the suggestion of the bishops at the 2014 synod, who he says “requested more rapid and accessible processes.” Joshua J. McElweeVatican City Pope Francis has substantially and significantly altered the process for those seeking annulments of marriages in the Catholic church, eliminating sometimes lengthy and redundant judicial procedures and empowering local bishops to make judgments on their own in “particularly evident” cases. Kentucky Democrats sounded unconvinced that a county clerk celebrating Labor Day inside a jail cell nearly 170 miles away will have much impact on their electoral prospects this fall. Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis has been behind bars since Thursday ... The court battle has spilled into the political realm, with Republican gubernatorial nominee Matt Bevin and GOP attorney general nominee Whitney Westerfield describing the situation as a struggle for religious liberty. Many of those protesting the legal action against Davis on the Ashland courthouse steps on Thursday often railed against the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on same-sex marriage and...

On Breitbart News Sunday, Former Arkansas Governor and GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee said Americans must stand with Kim Davis, the country clerk who was jailed without bail for refusing to issue same-sex marriage licenses because doing so went against her Christian faith, to show that they are against the “criminalization of Christianity” and “judicial tyranny.”Speaking to guest-host Matthew Boyle on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125, Huckabee announced that he will attend a rally for Davis in Kentucky on Tuesday–he said that a number of churches are busing people to the rally and supporters from as far away as Virginia,...

George Stephanopoulos grilled Mike Huckabee today over his strong support of Kim Davis, the Kentucky clerk sent to jail for repeatedly refusing to comply with multiple orders to issue gay marriage licenses. Huckabee has been one of her strongest defenders, saying a few days ago that her jailing is further proof of the “criminalization of Christianity” in the United States. On This Week today, Huckabee told Stephanopoulos it represents “judicial tyranny.” RELATED: Chris Hayes Battles Kim Davis’ Attorney: Is Denying Interracial Marriage Licenses Okay? We live in a fundamentally transformed America where Rowan County, Kentucky, Clerk Kim Davis is thrown in jail for refusing to issue a lesbian couple a marriage license in violation of her religious beliefs but San Francisco officials who violated the law, created a sanctuary city, and harbored an illegal criminal alien charged with the murder of Kate Steinle, are not? Kim Davis, we are told, is obligated as a public official under the law, as determined by the Supreme Court, which was not established to write laws to issue such licenses. But then are we saying Christians can’t be...

Gov Huckabee interview on ABC News HUCKABEE: I think it’s -- again, it’s a very different equation altogether because this is a redefinition. Marriage is not defined in the federal Constitution at all; it’s a matter for the states. And applying the Fourteenth Amendment to the equality of men and women and their relationship in marriage is totally different than redefining marriage. And I think what we’ve seen here is the overreach of the judiciary. This, if allowed to stand without any congressional approval, without any kind of enabling legislation, is what Jefferson warned us about. That’s judicial tyranny. STEPHANOPOULOS:...

’m sympathetic to Kim Davis, the county clerk in Kentucky who has stopped signing marriage licenses. In her position, I’d do the same. Her decision was straightforward, it seems. After Obergefell, the Supreme Court decision mandating a national right to same-sex marriage, Davis decided that she could not affix her signature to documents perpetuating the falsehood that husbands can have husbands and wives have wives. To do so would be to act in a way contrary to her conscience as formed by her Christian faith. With admirable consistency, she decided to stop signing marriage licenses altogether, not wanting to discriminate...

We hear from Hillary Clinton about upholding the law. She wants the clerks in Kentucky to obey the law and issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. (By the way, did Hillary Clinton call on President Obama to uphold the law when he refused to enforce the Defense of Marriage Act, a real law passed by a real legislature and signed by President Clinton?) But what law are we talking about today? What legislature passed this law? What executive signed it in a fancy ceremony? Did President Obama ask Congress to send him a bill making marriage equality the law of...

Now, we're getting somewhere. The judge that ordered Kim Davis to be jailed for not breaking the law, but opposing his unlawful orders, is the same judge behind re-educating (indoctrinating) Kentucky student who opposed sodomy. That judge, a Bush appointee no less, was none other than US District Judge David Bunning. In 2003, the communist American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sued the Boyd County Board of Education. The suit was to bully the Boyd County High School into allowing a "gay-straight" alliance club to meet. Parents overwhelmingly spoke out against the club, but to no avail. (Hint: Parents who love...

They are not being issued under the authority of the Rowan County clerk's office. They are not worth the paper that they are written on," said attorney Mat Staver after meeting with Davis in the Carter County jail in Grayson. Rowan County Attorney Cecil Watkins previously dismissed that argument, saying deputy clerks can issue valid marriage licenses without their boss's approval.

Thirty North Carolina magistrates in North Carolina are all refusing to conduct homosexual “marriages.” According to the report: More than 30 magistrates in North Carolina have refused to perform weddings. But thanks to a new state law, they were able to do so legally.Right after the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage in June, the state passed a law allowing officials to opt out of performing all marriages. The law exempts court officials with a “sincerely held religious objection” and is designed for those opposing gay marriage. The law’s original sponsor, Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger, said it’s probably preventing situations like...
