RUSH: Greetings, my friends, and welcome to Open Line Twilight Zone. Great to have you here. Yep. It was just an average American teenager walking along the street, Tennessee, Mahmoud Youssuf Abdulazeez al-Sahib Skyhook. Just your average American teenager, had a gun he shouldn't have had, and you know what happened. JOHNNY DONOVAN: And now, from sunny south Florida, it's Open Line Friday! RUSH: Yeah, we have no idea why. The media's pulling its hair out trying to figure why in the world would this average, ordinary blend-in-with-the-crowd, never-stop-him-in-a-lineup American teenager, Mohammed Youssuf Abdulazeez, what in the world could have...

RUSH: I know the Dittocam is not on yet. The reason it isn't is because I have zoomed in real tight 'cause I want to show you something, and admittedly it's gonna be very hard to see so I'm gonna have to tell you that we'll have the actual photo of what I'm gonna show you here on the Dittocam up at RushLimbaugh.com. What it is: Liberalism perfectly illustrated in one picture. Are you ready? Ladies and gentlemen, the modern military where our best weapons is tolerance, our strength is diversity and gun control is the answer to fighting terrorists. The Tennessean reports that Abdulazeez pulled in front of a recruiting location, shared by various military branches, and shot holes through the “doors and glass… [of] the… Air Force, Navy and Marine offices.” He allegedly did this while sitting in his car. Ironically, one of the earliest post-attack photos of the recruiting center shows shattered glass and bullet holes by the very sign that designated the office a gun free zone. But don't get...

He grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts, survived two tours of duty in Iraq, and earned a Purple Heart. But, according to his family, he died in a domestic terrorist attack on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at the hands of a madman in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who shot up a military base, killing four Marines and wounding three others. His name is Thomas J. Sullivan, 40, a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, one of three kids of Jerry and Betty Sullivan. He grew up in the East Forest Park section of Springfield, graduated Cathedral High School and went on to serve...

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Counterterrorism investigators are trying to figure out why a 24-year-old Kuwait-born man who by many accounts seemingly lived a typical life in suburban America attacked two military facilities in a shooting rampage that killed four Marines. Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez of Hixson, Tennessee, had not been on the radar of federal authorities until the bloodshed and authorities said they were still searching for a motive. Abdulazeez was killed by police. Federal authorities were looking into the possibility it was an act of terrorism, but say there is no evidence yet that anyone else was involved — or that...

As neighbors and friends tried to understand why a lone gunman launched two brazen attacks on military sites that left four Marines dead, investigators searched for terrorist ties but so far had found none, authorities said. Knoxville FBI Special Agent in Charge Ed Reinhold told a late-night news conference that authorities had no leads linking the gunman to international terrorist organizations. “There is no indication at this point that anyone else was involved,” he said late Thursday.

It is reported that the gunman, Muhammad Abdulazeez, was becoming more devout and beginning to attend the mosque regularly and grow his beard, etc. and...then...he goes and attacks two facilities and kills four U.S. Marines? What are we failing to see here? So many have called for deportation of muslims and their mosques being torn down and have been loudly criticized for saying so. However, it appears that U.S. Islam is indeed becoming more and more radicalized and we face domestic attacks by those who follow this religion. How many more have to die before the government decides it is...

The killer of four U.S. Marines in Chattanooga maintained a short-lived blog that hinted at his religious inner life. Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez's blog had only two posts, both published July 13 and written in a popular style of Islamic religious reasoning. The first post was entitled "A Prison Called Dunya," referring to the temporal world. In it, Abdulazeez uses the hypothetical example of a prisoner who is told he would be given a test that would either take him out of his earthly prison—or send him into a more restrictive environment. "I would imagine that any sane person would devote...

More Ramadan ritual slaughter: four Marines were shot dead in cold blood Thursday in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and one police officer was wounded. The war is here. Any attack on a U.S. soldier is an attack on us. The Islamic State has called for attacks on military personnel in the US. An Islamic State supporter tweeted out “Chattanooga” just as the shootings were beginning. Clearly this was an Islamic State attack. Two military sites were attacked Thursday by an Islamic jihadi. The shooting attack began on the U.S. Naval Recruiting Center on Lee Highway in Chattanooga, and ended at the U.S....

A devastating report by the Heritage Foundation reveals yet another arena where the Obama administration, with the blessings of the Democrat Party, is fundamentally transforming the United States of America. "The U.S. military may be weaker than you think,” the report states. "All but one branch of America’s military and nuclear forces are currently operating at ‘marginal' strength levels.” The Heritage Foundation’s conclusions are strikingly at odds with the 2014 Quadrennial Defense Review, which maintains the U.S. can still fight two major conflicts simultaneously. Yet that same report highlights the reality that beginning in FY2012 the Department of Defense began absorbing the "significant...

Hey all! I need some advice from former or current military members. My daughter and her high school sweetheart got married a couple of weeks ago. He's currently active duty Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton. He's been there only about a year. Great kid and great Marine. He had to return to base while she stays here while waiting until they can send their marriage license through channels so they can get their housing allowance and get an apartment. A little screw up has added a couple of weeks to the wait. The problem is that he pulled the trigger...

The Marine officer who made female recruits better shots at boot camp has been relieved of her command, igniting controversy. Military Times reports that Lt. Col.
