The nation’s most violent street gangs—including Mara Salvatrucha—are actively recruiting new members at U.S. shelters housing illegal immigrant minors and they’re using Red Cross phones to communicate, a Homeland Security source tells Judicial Watch. JW has reported extensively on the crisis created by the sudden influx of mostly Central American minors that have crossed into the U.S. through the Mexican border in recent weeks. It has created havoc and will end up costing American taxpayers billions of dollars to house, process, medically treat, feed and inevitably educate the Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) which are being dispersed throughout the country. They...

Federal authorities Thursday designated the notorious Mara Salvatrucha MS-13 as a “transnational criminal organization,” giving federal authorities more tools to fight the street gang that has its roots in Los Angeles. Under the designation, federal officials said they can now seize assets of gang members found within the United States jurisdiction. The designation is the first for a U.S. street gang. Among the organizations similarly designated are Japan’s Yakuza and Mexico’s Zetas, whose leader, Heriberto Lazcano, was killed by Mexican Marines on Sunday. An armed gang later stole his body from a funeral parlor. ... MS-13 began among El Salvadoran...

Mara made a comment that if the Demoncrats get their 60 votes and THE MARXIST ONE infects the Oval office with socialism, that the Dems will spend as much as they can and push aside any concern of the deficit. I have no reason to doubt her because politicians like to spend and have never really taken the deficit serious with but one occasion (1994 with Pube Revolution) but it will be interesting to see how the media will once again cover for the Dems on how it's necessary for the dems to forget about their pledge to balance the...

Classic NFC East clash. The division's best defense (Washington) taking on the division's most balanced offense (the Giants). The hitting would be fierce, the scoring low and close. Or so you probably figured. This one basically ended about 1 p.m. Sunday when the Giants won the coin toss. On their first play, Tiki Barber bounced it outside, sliced through four or five Redskins defenders -- who looked as if they weren't quite awake -- and was off to the races for 57 yards. That set up the first of five Jay Feely field goals. And that would be all the...

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Amani Toomer thought he had a chance to make the NFC Pro Bowl team in 2002, but when the votes were counted with two games remaining in the season, the Giants’ wide receiver came up short. But Toomer was an All-Pro to an important man who didn’t have a vote, Wellington Mara, and that meant more to him than the conference-wide ballot. “He said, ‘You made my Pro Bowl,’” Toomer said today. “That’s all I needed. I was happy the next day. I said, ‘Okay, I made the Pro Bowl this year.’ It made me feel...

(Oct. 26, 2005) -- I've read and heard so many wonderful things this week about Giants owner Wellington Mara, who passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 89. First and foremost is the unselfishness that he displayed years ago when he consented to and supported the concept of revenue sharing. That business decision alone sums up everything that Wellington Mara was about. Think how much money that probably cost the New York Giants. But Mara was willing to do it because it benefited the league as a whole. Then again, maybe it didn't cost the Giants more money --...

BUFFALO - Loretta Marra's premonitions that Federal District Court Judge Richard Arcara would reject a plea agreement forged over the summer between federal prosecutors and lawyers representing her and her husband, Dennis Malvasi were realized in a Buffalo courtroom August 21 when Arcara killed the deal. A testy Judge Arcara accused both the government's attorneys and the defendants' attorneys of manipulating the legal system, and accused Marra and Malvasi of being "accessories" to the murder of Buffalo abortionist Barnett Slepian. Marra and Malvasi, who have already served 17 months in jail for helping James Kopp return to the United States...
