Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman does not intend to buy Manchester United, his minister for media has said. A report in the English press claimed that Prince bin Salman was pursuing a deal worth £3.8billion to take over United but, in a tweet on Monday, his media minister Turki al-Shabanah said the information was "completely false". Ever dreamed of having a wedding based around your favourite football team? No? Well this Manchester United fan did. And this week he made his dream come true. The supporter, based in Kenya, went to great lengths to organise a United themed wedding for him and his bride to enjoy, but on the basis of these photos, it didn’t go down well. In truly mad scenes, the groom wore a United shirt – complete with ‘Just Married’ on the back – while every detail was replicated, including a cake slapped with the same sponsors as the Red Devils. The average American sports enthusiast typically struggles to come to grips with the fact that "sport" exists outside the realm of the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NCAA. The fact that soccer even makes the list(s) is mind-boggling to some. Because of that, it should come as no surprise that many just don't get the buzz around Manchester United's latest move; or even know there is in fact a "buzz" in the first place. That aside,...

It was Manchester United's worst home defeat since the 1930-31 season, when they were beaten 6-0 by Huddersfield Town amid a run of 12 straight losses in the First Division.

When I met him at Borders books during a signing of his book "Blessed" I told him that this was one of the happiest days of my life indeed it was only beaten by getting married and the birth of...

The draw for the 2003/2004 Champions League has been made with Chelsea and Manchester United earning favourable groups. Arsenal and Celtic have a tough task though and Rangers are in Man U's group. This year it goes to a straight knockout after the first group stage. This should suit Chelsea (now the world's richest club) as they are more of a cup team. They are surely worth a flutter at odds of 16-1 for the tournament. Champions League draw (British teams in CAPS): Group A 1. Bayern Munich 2. Lyon 3. CELTIC 4. Anderlecht Group B 1. ARSENAL 2. Inter...
