Manchester City have won the Premier League title after second-place Manchester United were stunned 1-0 at home by West Bromwich Albion. Pep Guardiola's side are now uncatchable at the top of the table after United's shock defeat to the bottom-of-the-table Baggies, who received a 73rd-minute strike from Jay Rodriguez to seal United's fate.

Sir Alex Ferguson has described Manchester United's 6-1 defeat at home to Manchester City as the worst he has experienced in over half a century in the game. "It was our worst ever day," Ferguson said. "It's the worst result in my history, ever. Even as a player I don't think I ever lost 6-1. That's challenge for me too." It was Manchester United's worst home defeat since the 1930-31 season, when they were beaten 6-0 by Huddersfield Town amid a run of 12 straight losses in the First Division.
