EVANSVILLE — A lawsuit has been filed against the city on behalf of a man Evansville Police Department officers physically escorted out of Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden after police said he refused to cover up a gun he was carrying on his hip. The lawsuit, filed in Vanderburgh Circuit Court on Friday by attorney Guy Relford of Zionsville, Ind., names Evansville and its Department of Parks & Recreation.
