The North Korean state media made a historic announcement Friday evening that Kim Jong-un and the Democratic People's Republic of North Korea would be suspending its nuclear missile and long range missile testing. In addition they will also be closing down their nuclear test site. The announcement comes ahead of President Trump's meeting with Kim Jong-un, a potbellied dictator he once nicknamed "Rocketman," in May. Candidates in Indiana’s raucous Republican U.S. Senate primary are set to participate in their first debate. U.S. Reps. Luke Messer and Todd Rokita, as well as former state Rep. Mike Braun, will be at the Tuesday evening event in downtown Indianapolis. The debate is being sponsored by the Indiana chapter of Americans for Prosperity, a national political operation funded by billionaire industrialist brothers David and Charles Koch. It will be moderated by conservative WIBC radio commentator Tony Katz.

The Office of House Employment Counsel brokered a settlement in 2006 over allegations that Rep. Gregory Meeks fired a staffer in retaliation for reporting that she was sexually assaulted at a business tied to a campaign contributor, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned. Andrea Payne, then a congressional aide in the New York Democrat’s Queens office, filed a complaint with the Office of Compliance, and Meeks fired her weeks later. He admitted that Payne’s termination did not have to do with the quality of her work, according to her lawsuit.

Come May 8th and then of course November,we will be losing one of the strongest voices for conservatism that we have in the House, Mike Pence. We here in Indiana will be (hopefully) gaining him as Governor but we are also faced with the task of replacing his leadership in the 6th District.
