The state Monday dropped the breach of peace case against Lucian Wintrich, a White House correspondent for conservative website Gateway Pundit, in connection to a tussle at a speech he was to deliver at UConn last month. He was present at court but did not appear before a judge. His lawyer, Norm Pattis, met with Tolland State’s Attorney Matthew Gedansky. That is the sort of environment we are living in, where half of the country has normalized aggression against any conservative, any Trump supporter, so long as they claim that they're confronting a "Nazi". Lucian Wintrich’s speech Tuesday night was cut short when a girl in the audience appeared to take something off the podium he was using and then started to leave. Cellphone videos posted on Twitter show Wintrich running up to the girl and grabbing her before other audience members get involved. Police quickly stepped in and led Wintrich away. There was no immediate word on any potential charges. Wintrich is the White House correspondent for the right-wing blog Gateway Pundit.
