MORE than 1000 Muslims took to the streets of London last night chanting Allahu Akbar and demanding an Islamic caliphate. The street outside the empty embassy in Belgrave Square, London, was closed off as it filled with protestors and Islamic leaders chanting loudly and calling for America to be punished over Aleppo. The demonstration became an alternative to an official rally calling for an end to the bloodshed in Syria outside Downing Street. London police are asking for help finding two men who pulled off the headscarf of a Muslim woman in what is being called a racially-motivated attack. Two cases of anti-Semitic harassment were reported in London earlier this week, with groups of men threatening Jews and hurling vile insults. Both incidents occurred on Monday in the neighborhood of Newham. Sadiq Khan, London’s first Muslim mayor, announced Monday that “body shaming” advertisements will no longer be allowed in London’s public transport. “As the father of two teenage girls, I am extremely concerned about this kind of advertising which can demean people, particularly women, and make them ashamed of their bodies. A British man has been charged with using social media to incite racial hatred after posting anti-Muslim tweets in the days after the Brussels attacks. Matthew Doyle was charged Friday after more than a day of questioning by police. The 47-year-old is scheduled to appear in court Saturday. Controversial anti-Israel politician and London Mayoral candidate George Galloway has been accused of "fascism," after refusing a man entry to his events because he is pro-Israel. Jewish activist Ben Gross of the Israel Advocacy Movement had attempted to enter a public talk by Galloway last week, but was rejected and physically blocked from entering. London has put more armed police officers on the streets - a direct consequence of the attacks on a nightclub and restaurants in Paris last year.
