Miranda Ackerman, 29, of Nampa turned herself in to the Ada County Jail on Friday night, after a judge issued a warrant for her arrest, according to Patrick Orr, spokesman for the Ada County Sheriff’s Office. OKINAWA, Japan—About 45 people experienced symptoms of smoke and chlorine gas exposure June 22 at Kadena Air Base, after a fire at the 18th Wing Hazardous Materials Pharmacy sent hazardous particles and plumes of smoke billowing into the air. Most of the individuals had mild symptoms and were treated and returned to duty, according to a base press release. A five-year police officer was killed Tuesday afternoon while off-duty and riding her motorcycle with her twin sister in Connecticut. Angela Santiago, who most recently served as the Chicopee High School police resource officer, died in the crash at about 1 p.m. on Interstate 91 in East Windsor. It all started about two weeks ago near a Black Lives Matter rally in Poway when Emmanuel Cafferty, a San Diego Gas and Electric employee, encountered a stranger on the roadway. The Middlesex district attorney’s office continues to investigate the discovery Friday of the body of a 62-year-old missing man in the stairwell of a Bedford Veterans Administration building. The sister of a recently arrested Florida terrorism suspect was shot and killed by police on Friday after being caught on video charging officers while armed with a butcher knife outside a government building. Temple Terrace Police Chief Kenneth Albano said during a news conference that the officer-involved shooting occurred at the City Hall building. Heba Momtaz Al-Azhari, 21, arrived at City Hall at around 1pm and asked for an officer's help, officials said.
