Stephen Paddock, the gunman who rained bullets on the Route 91 Harvest festival on Sunday night, rented a room overlooking the Life is Beautiful festival in downtown Las Vegas a week earlier, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said Wednesday. Lombardo said that Paddock, 64, of Mesquite rented the room at the Ogden during the festival, which ran from Sept. 22-24, via the Airbnb room-sharing site. He said investigators had not yet determined whether Paddock was engaged in “pre-surveillance” of the music and art event. “We don’t know yet,” he said of Paddock’s presence in the hotel.

The source, who was briefed on the police investigation, said Paddock had apparently tried to get a room at The Ogden and another hotel in downtown Las Vegas, but apparently the specific suites he requested were booked. The source speculated that Paddock...

January 31, 2013 (LiveActionNews.org) - I first heard about the Peterson family in what you might call a “chance meeting.” (Of course I don’t believe in chances; I believe that there is Someone who has a plan and a purpose behind the random occurrences in our lives.) And I firmly believe that this amazing family’s story needs to be told. It’s scary. It’s shocking. And its implications are dangerous. How many other hospitals starve babies to death, simply based on a “defect”? How many other doctors instruct new parents to leave their newborns to die or wallow in an institution...
