Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have called it quits less than a year after tying the knot. “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” a rep for Cyrus tells PEOPLE in a statement. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

Liam Hemsworth has filed for divorce from wife Miley Cyrus, 11 days after the couple announced their separation after just seven months of marriage. The 29-year-old Hunger Games star cited 'irreconcilable differences' in paperwork he filed on Wednesday in Los Angeles. The couple had a prenup so their individual earnings during the marriage will remain separate and there is no request for spousal support. As the duo don't have children together the divorce should be finalized fairly swiftly.

Miley Cyrus has gotten engaged to "Hunger Games" star Liam Hemsworth, People is reporting. Cyrus, 19, has been dating Hemsworth, 22, for three years, and the engagement has been confirmed to the magazine by their representatives. A wedding date has not yet been set. "I'm so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam," said the singer/actress.
