Evangelical College Azusa Pacific announced last week that it will be allowing LGBT relationships for students on campus following years of pressure. Zu Media, the student paper, reported last week that officials at the Christian university in California have decided to remove language from the student standard of conduct that previously prohibited such relationships on campus. The liberal bastion of Massachusetts is sweating over a ballot initiative that could overturn a 2016 law that opened women's public restrooms to men. Bay State voters will see several issues on their ballot in November, including the results of an underdog, grassroots effort to fight the bill signed into law by Gov. Charlie Baker. A priest and parishioners from a Catholic church in Chicago burned a rainbow flag in an 'exorcism' ceremony. Rev. Paul Kalchik – a priest at the Resurrection Parish Church – announced he would burn a rainbow pride flag that was once prominently displayed there. In a church bulletin, he said it would occur in front of the church on September 29, to coincide with the Feast of Saint Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, NBC News reports.

TV producer Ryan Murphy called for stricter hate-crime laws during his Emmy acceptance speech Monday night. Murphy, who won the limited-series directing award for “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story,” dedicated his award to the LGBTQ community. The National Institutes of Health is spending over $100,000 studying elderly lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals who have Alzheimer's but do not have HIV. MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Montclair Public School District is rolling out a new initiative this year: "all-gender restrooms" in each building. Superintendent Kendra Johnson alerted local parents and guardians about the restroom changes as part of a "Welcome Back" letter sent at the beginning of the school year. According to Johnson, 2018-19 will be the first year that the district has at least one "all-gender" restroom in each school building.

A TRANSGENDER woman has spoken of her joy at becoming the oldest person in Britain to have surgery. Ruth Rose, 85, had a reassignment op four years ago after her doctor told her she could be considered for the full procedure.
