Cities across the US have agreed to pay out a total of more than $80m in settlements to protesters injured by police during 2020 racial justice protests – a figure experts believe is unprecedented and will rise further as many lawsuits are still playing out. The brutal murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis police officers on 25 May 2020 sparked the largest nationwide demonstrations since the civil rights era, as upwards of 26 million people gathered to protest racism and police brutality. But, three years later, at least 19 US cities will pay more than $80m total to protesters who...

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A man who drove the car that helped pull down the statue of a Civil War hero and abolitionist outside of the Wisconsin state Capitol during a night of protests in 2020 has been sentenced to six months in jail. The statue of Hans Christian Heg was toppled and beheaded during a protest in downtown Madison in June 2020 against police brutality. Protests began a month earlier over the murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis police and flared up again that June after Madison police arrested a Black activist. Kelsey D. Nelson, 33, was sentenced for...

It was predictable given the fervor of the left-wing demonstrations against Benjamin Netanyahu that talk of assassination would arise sooner or later. Despite their own calls that right-wing Israelis accept the results of the previous election that propelled Yair Lapid and his center-left allies to power, left-wing Israelis have largely refused to pay the same courtesy to Netanyahu and his new coalition, which won a firm majority in the most recent vote. It’s not just that they oppose his proposed policies. They insist Bibi is an unrepentant criminal and a danger to democracy who must be removed from power. Since...

State lawmakers and local tribal leaders shared details Monday on the plan to replace the toppled statue of missionary Junípero Serra in Sacramento with a monument dedicated to Native American tribes upon whose land California’s state Capitol grounds were built. The new monument will feature William Franklin, a Miwok leader whom Assemblyman James C. Ramos called a “fierce protector and preservationist” of cultural dances and other ceremonies, and who also helped build three Northern California roundhouses. “This monument that will be constructed and put forward here on the state Capitol will start to pave the way for the voices of...

Florida prosecutors have added an additional charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against Javier Lopez, for siccing two German Shepherds on Christopher Monzon, a Republican canvasser he allegedly assaulted in Hialeah, Fla., last week. The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s office on Monday filed formal charges against Lopez: aggravated battery with great bodily harm and the additional assault with a deadly weapon charge, which stemmed from Lopez and another attacker’s decision to unleash dogs on Monzon for what he says was the crime of trying to drum up support for Republican candidates in their neighborhood. Lopez, 25, pleaded not guilty...

A Florida man was arrested Thursday with a homemade explosive near a rally held by the Oath Keepers, police said Friday. Deputies with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office spotted Garrett Smith, 22, running from the direction of the protest while carrying a backpack around 7:24 p.m. on January 6, the anniversary of the riot at the U.S. Capitol. About 85 members of the Oath Keepers were holding a rally in the parking lot of the Pinellas County Courthouse to support Jeremy Brown, a member of the far-right militaristic movement who was arrested for participating in the riot at the U.S....

Far-left miscreant Thomas Alexander Starks, 31, of Lisbon, North Dakota, pleaded guilty to destruction of government property last April. Starks brought an ax to Sen. John Hoeven’s office in Fargo on December 21, 2020, and smashed an intercom and glass door. The attack was captured on video. Federal guidelines suggested Starks should spend 10–16 months in the hoosegow, but because he is a protected member of Antifa, he was sentenced to mere probation and ordered to pay $2,784 in restitution. Keep in mind that there are people still in solitary confinement for taking non-violent selfies in the Capitol on January...

The Capitol Hill riot made for some colorful photos, but despite some theater had no actual effect and posed no threat to members of Congress. Unlike the time that James Hodgkinson, a Bernie Sanders supporter, opened fire at a Congressional charity baseball game while carrying a hit list of Freedom Caucus members. The Democratic National Committee announced that Resistance Summer would begin in June. James Hodgkinson, a Bernie Sanders volunteer, delivered by opening fire on Republicans playing baseball. Hodgkinson had spent the weeks before the shooting staring at the site of his future attack and working on his laptop. What...

As it happens so often, the Left accuses the Right of committing crimes that the Left themselves have actually committed. In practice, it's a dead giveaway: Anytime they accuse the Right of any crime, that is a crime which the Left has committed over and over. Antifa is a stunning case in point. Antifa, short for "anti-fascist," is actually among the most fascist organizations in the world. As Old as the RomansThe concept of fascism dates back to the time of the Romans. Originally fasces, referring to a bundle of weeds or wooden rods tied together, with an ax blade...

Source: Twitter/ScreenshotOn MSNBC, a large panel seemingly agreed with Jennifer Rubin's calls for the burning down of the Republican Party and the elimination of all survivors. Is this the "dark winter" Biden warned us about? Deranged Trump-hater Jennifer Rubin repeated her calls for retribution of Trump supporters on MSNBC's "AM Joy" on Saturday."It's not only that Trump has to lose, but that all his enablers have to lose," Rubin threatened. "We have to collectively in essence burn down the Republican Party. We have to level them because if there are survivors, if there are people who weather this storm, they...

Source: Twitter/ScreenshotGov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) sure is hypocritical, even for a politician. Just weeks after a deadly ricen poisoning was mailed to President Trump, Whitmer prominently displayed an "8645" sign in the background of the camera during an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press." When the term "86" is applied to a person it often carries the meaning of killing the individual. The left is violent and murderous enough without further stoking by the governor. Antifa, ginned up by Democrats, routinely attacks cops and Trump supporters, killing one recently in Portland. Joe Biden and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) talk about...

King Solomon once wrote the most annoying sound on the planet is a nagging wife. Obviously, he’d never heard what frothy-mouthed feminists sound like now that Judge Amy Coney Barrett will likely replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the U.S. Supreme Court. After the first anti-Trump women’s march, I suggested everyday Americans take preventative action to keep the insane from driving us insane by investing in a good set of earbuds to drown out the whining.Unfortunately, earbuds cannot erase certain scenes our minds would prefer to forget, like the time anti-Trump “women’s march” feminists ran around in idiotic pink protest hats...

A Black Lives Matter protest against police brutality and systemic racism was met with a counter-protest and turned violent when a car drove through the crowd in Yorba Linda on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 26. The BLM march took place on Imperial Highway, with counter-protesters gathered along the other side. At one point, the counter-protesters crossed the six-lane highway and confronted the BLM group as they shouted, “Black Lives Matter” and “U.S.A.” Then a white sedan came tearing through the crowd.

During his acceptance speech at the Democratic Party Convention, Joe Biden cast his presidential campaign as a battle of light versus darkness, vowing he’d be “an ally of the light, not of the darkness.” Half-wit Joe had it half right; the 2020 election is about good versus evil, but Biden’s squarely on the dark side unless he switched parties. Biden can’t tell the truth because, by nature, Democrats are lying liars who speak in half-truths to garner votes from simpleton group thinkers. Democrat politicians get away with lying because they know most of their voters aren’t interested in exercising reasonable,...

With the Mark O. Hatfield United States Courthouse under nightly siege from violent radicals, and Portland's police hard-pressed to protect it, President Trump sent in federal agents to secure the building. The reaction from Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi: "The use of stormtroopers under the guise of law and order is a tactic that is not appropriate to our country in any way." Majority Whip James Clyburn endorsed the speaker's equating of the U.S. law enforcement officers to Ernst Rohm's SA thugs being deployed to do the dirty work of Adolph Hitler. "Nobody asked the federal government to come...

A leftist at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) was caught on video getting into a physical altercation with members of the school’s College Republicans student group, as well as with free speech activist Hayden Williams. Moments later, the individual was seeing spitting on an American flag, which had fallen to the ground during the scuffle. Free speech activist Hayden Williams — who was punched in the face at UC Berkeley while helping Turning Point USA recruit conservative students last year — posted a video to his Twitter account on Thursday, which depicts an individual attacking the College Republicans...

CNN steers softball interview carefully to give violent Antifa a new voice August 18, 2019 | Tom Tillison | Print Article SHARE1.2KTWEET14EMAIL (Screenshot from YouTube) Leave it to CNN to give voice to violent Antifa thugs in the wake of Saturday’s clash with right-wing protesters. The so called “anti-fascist” group embraces fascist tactics as they all but have the run of Portland streets, claiming to be preventing the very behavior they display in a city that has become ground zero for confrontations with those on the right who say they are taking a stand for free speech — that they...

Roving, cop-hating mobs erupted in violence, taunts and gunfire in Brooklyn overnight into Sunday, leaving three officers with minor injuries. At least some of the injuries were caused by “air mail,” objects thrown down at cops from rooftops, police at the scene in Bedford-Stuyvesant told The Post. By early Sunday, 11 people had been arrested on charges of disorderly conduct. The violence came after a series of water dousing attacks on NYPD officers throughout the city this summer.
