Well, since I'm already off-topic today, I can't resist posting this too funny to be real video of a man named Steve being arrested for DUI on a lawnmower! I guess it's been around for several months, but I just saw it today. The guy resists the officer and even gets tasered! It's so pathetic I thought it was a put up deal, but I think it actually happened. I promise to get back on the topic of politics after this! . . . . . (Watch Video)

A 57-year-old south side man, who might have been struggling with a hangover, was charged Friday with shooting his lawn mower with a sawed-off shotgun. “I’ll tell you the truth,” a criminal complaint quotes an apparently inebriated Keith Walendowski. “I got pissed because my lawn mower wouldn’t start, so I got my shotgun and shot it.“I can do that. It’s my lawn mower and my yard, so I can shoot it if I want,” Walendowski told police. Ignorance of the law, however, is not a legal defense. Walendowski is charged with a felony count of possessing a short-barreled shotgun and...

My uncle in law gave me a Honda Lawnmower. It was put in a shed and left there for 10 years. It worked when it went in, doesn't work now that it came out (i.e. won't start). Any suggestions on where to start in trying to get it to work?

WASHINGTON -- Former Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan said allowing more skilled immigrants to work in the United States would help keep the income gap from widening. Inequality of incomes is the "critical area where capitalist systems are most vulnerable," Greenspan said yesterday in Washington at a conference on maintaining the competitiveness of US capital markets convened by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson. "You cannot have a system that we have unless the people who participate in it believe it is just." Allowing more skilled workers into the country would bring down the salaries of top earners in the United States,...

Man Sets Lawn Mower Speed Record Mower Goes More Than 80 MPH POSTED: 4:22 pm EDT July 5, 2006 BONNEVILLE SALT FLATS, Utah -- A new speed record was set in Utah on Tuesday -- on a lawn mower. Bob Cleveland went more than 80 mph on his lawn mower across the Bonneville Salt Flats. Since there is no record for fastest lawn mower, Cleveland won by default. On the downside, he won't be able to get his yard work done any faster. He said the mower doesn't cut grass, it just goes fast.

WASHINGTON - The lawn mower war may be heating up again. A truce reached two years ago between Sens. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., and Christopher Bond, R-Mo., was on the verge of collapsing Wednesday over a Bond amendment to a spending bill for the Environmental Protection Agency that could delay - maybe permanently - state rules reducing small-engine pollution. "I am deeply concerned," Feinstein said. A spokesman for Bond insisted Feinstein was misreading the amendment. "California can still do whatever it wants," said Rob Ostrander. Not according to the California Air Resources Board, however. Barbara Riordan, acting chairwoman of the board,...

"What our technology allows us to do is to control lawnmowers and other robotic devices while people are away at work," Massey University's Glen Bright told Reuters. The electric mower, smaller...
