Chief Justice John Roberts says the shooting in Arizona that killed five was senseless and inflicted "tragic loss on dedicated public servants and their families." He said Saturday that the judiciary has suffered the terrible loss of "one of our own," referring to federal Judge John Roll. "Roberts said Roll selflessly served Arizona and the nation with great distinction, as attorney and judge, for more than 35 years." A Pima County Sheriff's spokesman said the suspect was 22 years old and had one prior minor run-in with the law as an adult.
