The Republican Party’s dance with President Trump has long been marked by fits and starts. And for much of that troubled relationship, it has been hard to grasp why so many conservatives would sell their political souls to a man who wallows in racist stereotypes, questions federal judges’ legitimacy, flogs the free press, undermines Madison’s constitutional norms, declares war on America’s intelligence community, and attacks Justice Department and FBI leaders he appointed for refusing to kill special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation. SNIP Even after his calling for a Muslim ban in 2015, professing ignorance of former Ku Klux...

Liberals love to lecture us about not mixing politics with religion. Apparently this holds true for them except when they can use religion to blast conservatives and President Donald Trump. Especially Trump. Such was the case on Thursday's Morning Joe, which sounded more like Holy Joe, when they used heavy dollops of religious imagery to slam Trump to the extent that it was suggested that you are committing idolatry if you even dare to support him. Holy Joe Scarborough set the tone by reading from an E.J. Dionne column which also shamelessly used religion as a basis to criticize Trump. He...

Martin Luther King, Jr. once said: “Jesus says love, because hate destroys the hater as well as the hated.” On today’s Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough gave us a glimpse of just how corrosive hate can be. As the show was going to a break, a visibly angry Scarborough, reacting to recent criticism of the show’s one-note Trump-hating samba, railed at his own audience: “If you’re thinking: it’s just one note. Morning Joe is just one note. Yeah! Yeah, guess what? A fire department has one focus when there’s a four-alarm fire. All right? So if you don’t want to hear...

Psst! Hey Jon Meacham! Haven't you gotten the liberal message that you are not supposed to mention impeachment (for now) in case the Democrats win back the House this November? Perhaps historian and failed Newsweek editor Meacham is so eager for that impeachment that he just couldn't hold back on Monday's Morning Joe. They were discussing the horror of President Donald Trump wanting the DOJ to investigate intelligence agencies spying on his 2016 presidential campaign which led to Meacham eagerly invoking the I-word that Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer prefer to not be mentioned (for now). If you earn a...

Excuse Hamas. Condemn Trump. That, in a nutshell, was Morning Joe‘s approach to the deaths of Palestinians who rioted during the opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem yesterday. First up were Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, painting the Trump family as callously indifferent to the deaths: JOE SCARBOROUGH: Mika, for the rest of the world you actually saw an administration, a White House, and we’ll say it, since Ivanka Trump was there. A family. Completely out of touch with the realities of the region that they’re dealing with. And you know, you had . . . 58 people killed...

Of all the things Barack Obama said that annoyed me--and the list was long--right up there was his frequent misuse of MLK's statement that “the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” That statement was deeply religious in its foundation. But Obama used it to somehow suggest that the triumph of left-wing politics is inevitable. Joe Scarborough has come up with a variation on the theme. On today's Morning Joe, trying to explain why Trump staffers leak, Scarborough said: "They want to be on the right side of history . . . They know this presidency...

Joe Scarborough has described as a “bribe” the money received by Michael Cohen from AT&T and other companies, and has strongly suggested that Cohen passed some of it to President Trump. On today’s Morning Joe, Scarborough said: “That was just a direct payoff. That was just a direct bribe. Did that money really go to Cohen? Did it go to Cohen and straight into the President’s pockets?,/B> . . . Where did that money go to? Because I highly doubt Donald Trump would let it sit in Michael Cohen’s account . . . [Trump] is a guy that would shake...

Name names, Joe . . . On today’s Morning Joe, a shocking assertion was lost amidst the blather about Rudy Giuliani’s revelation that President Trump reimbursed Michael Cohen for the payment to Stormy Daniels. In his column in today’s Washington Post, Joe Scarborough praises the Rudy Giuliani who cleaned up a filthy, crime-infested NYC in the 90s and valiantly became America’s Mayor after 9-11. Scarborough wonders how Giuliani has gone from that to now serving as “Trump’s chump.” Scarborough says that even viewed as a cynical career move, Rudy’s decision to serve Trump as he has makes no sense given...

Joe Scarborough has made an art form out of sliming President Trump. But, not content to insult the president, Joe’s now turning his Don Ricklesian skills on the people who support Trump. On today’s Morning Joe, Scarborough mocked as idiots people who believe that James Comey and others in the FBI like Andrew McCabe were biased against Trump during the presidential race. Joe warned Trump supporters to “step away” from kitchen utensils because they are too “incompetent” to use them and will “hurt themselves.” The screencap shows Scarborough imitating a hapless Trump supporter using an egg beater to “trim their...

In February, Raw Story noted Joe Scarborough transparently trying to bait President Trump into agreeing to an interview with Robert Mueller by saying that the President’s lawyers think he’s “too stupid” to handle such a sit-down. Scarborough, with help from Mika Brzezinski and Donny Deutsch, was back at the Trump-baiting game today. In the opening segment, the trio repeatedly asserted that Trump’s lawyers think the president is “too stupid” to handle Mueller. Adding fuel to the provocation fire, they also suggested that Trump’s education isn’t as good as Mueller’s, and that Trump would be a “coward” and “very submissive” if...

This actually came close to the classic line: “nice kids. Wouldn’t wanna see nuthin’ happen to them.” On today’s Morning Joe, Donny Deutsch and Joe Scarborough implored Michael Cohen to turn on President Trump. Deutsch, mentioning that he knows Cohen very well, said that he often tells him: “you’ve got to protect yourself, you’ve got to protect your family.” Scarborough said, “I just can’t imagine that he’s willing to sacrifice the well-being of his children for the well being of Trump’s children.” Replied Deutsch, speaking of his conversations with Cohen: “those words I used exactly.” Get the rest of the...

Thursday on MSNBC, co-host Joe Scarborough dismissed the idea of actor and former wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as a president, arguing he, like President Donald Trump, is as qualified as a “lawn boy.” “That’s like saying you let the lawn boy do brain surgery on your mother. And he was kind of a nasty lawn boy, didn’t know how to do brain surgery and he killed your mother." "But there’s another lawn boy across the street who is nice and has a better way about him when he’s mowing your lawn and collecting payment for mowing your lawn,” Scarborough...

Now that the liberal media has apparently hit a dry hole in its effort to make a collusion case against President Trump, the MSM is going to have to get more creative in accusing him of other misdeeds. Joe Scarborough has come up with an innovative idea: charge President Trump with market manipulation for talking down Amazon’s stock price. On today’s Morning Joe, Scarborough said that President Trump: “lies about [Amazon], causes its stock to go down. I’ve watched enough episodes of Billions to know that if you’ve spread lies about a company or product to cause its stock prices...

The other storyline is simply fantastical. Congressional Republicans have uniformly run away from Trump's Obama-wiretap accusation. Clapper denies it. FBI Director James Comey denies it. Not a single member of Trump's own administration is willing to say it's true. Loopier still is to demand that Congress find the truth when the president could just pick up the phone and instruct the FBI, CIA and DNI to declare on the record whether this ever occurred. And if there really was an October 2016 FISA court order to wiretap Trump, the president could unilaterally declassify the information yesterday. The bugging story is...

Fox News host Laura Ingraham is taking vacation time even as advertisers flee her show "The Ingraham Angle" over a feud with a high school student who advocates gun control.

Progressive insurance, a major publicly traded company, has decided to pull ads off Laura Ingraham’s radio programs, Breitbart News can confirm. In addition to the news of the decision to pull the ads, Progressive–through an ad placement firm–at least partially defined what qualifies as a reason to pull Progressive ads off the air of a certain program: “Controversial programming.” Even so, despite coining that term for this, Progressive refused to further define what it means by “controversial programming.” A media ad-buying-and-placement firm for Progressive insurance notified radio affiliates on Friday morning to stop airing ads on or near Ingraham’s programming....

As we reported earlier Thursday, teen demagogue David Hogg has called on his supporters to boycott and pressure companies that advertise on Laura Ingraham’s program in retaliation for her statement regarding news that he has been rejected by four colleges. Here is my response to young Mr. Hogg David, I understand how you must feel after losing 17 of your classmates. As a 10-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, I know what it’s like to lose comrades and friends in a senseless act of bloody violence. David, I understand how you must feel after losing 17 of your...

The David Hogg experiment would be captivating if we were all just spectators, but the latest twist in the spectacle reveals a destructive element sure to metastasize quickly. Last Wednesday, Fox News host Laura Ingraham tweeted, “David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA ... totally predictable given acceptance rates.)”

David Hogg bid a sarcastic farewell to Fox Host Laura Ingraham after she announced she will go on vacation and off air next week. On Friday Ingraham shared on her program she will take a pre-planned break for the Easter holiday with her children, according to Variety. Hogg tweeted 'Have some healthy reflections this Holy Week' echoing Ingraham's own words of apology that she offered after Hogg's boycott saw her lose 11 of her show's advertisers.

The NRA saw a major spike in donations following the school shooting in Parkland, Florida. The shooting took place in February and left 17 people dead. That same month, NRA donations tripled from the month before. Federal Election Commission filings say the NRA received just under $248,000 in January. It received more than $779,000 in February. The NRA has faced intense scrutiny since the shooting. It's not entirely clear if the donations are part of its supporters' response to that or part of a larger trend. History shows consumers display increased interest in guns and gun sales increase after mass...
