Brooks called the controversial Trump tweets about Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski is an issue of "the corruption of our public sphere." The Times columnist said Trump tweets "makes it harder for us, our country, to ever get back to normal."

Many Americans probably have forgotten, or never knew, that a 28-year-old female staff member was found dead in the summer of 2001 in the office of U.S. Rep. Joe Scarborough (R-FL). Officials in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, determined that Lori Klausutis died from an accident. The mainstream press largely ignored the case, but our review of several investigative reports indicates the official finding is highly questionable.

Donny Deutsch prefaced his remarks by warning he was going to go “thug” and “low,” and proceeded to deliver. n what appeared to be a rare display of actual diversity, MSNBC and NBC News have signed New York Times columnist Bret Stephens while betting that increasing the diversity of voices on their airwaves will ultimately lead to a better news and analysis product. We get it. Joe Scarborough doesn’t approve of Donald Trump. Two weeks ago, we noted the Morning Joe host calling the president a “jackass.” Things are escalating, and there appears to be no sense of decorum left on Morning Joe. This morning, Scarborough called Trump a “schmuck” – a term that literally means penis in Yiddish, and is used as a pejorative to express contempt for a person. View the video here.

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough on Friday blamed White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon for President Trump's decision to back out of the Paris climate accord, saying that the move signals that Bannon "is now the president of the United States." In a brief tirade on 'Morning Joe' today, Joe Scarborough made it clear that, in his mind, the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accord proved that Steve Bannon was back in the saddle in the West Wing. Of course he is... I longer Scarborough can keep up the I’m-a-Republican-but-this-all-troubles-me-so-much schtick. Scarborough is first and foremost a creature of the Beltway culture. His party affiliation is hardly worth a footnote given that his job is to cater to mindset of the political class. Now, normal people (present company included) will offer no excuses for Greg Gianforte’s assault of a journalist, regardless of how obnoxious the guy’s behavior may have been, or how much we may think the journalism profession in general deserves one big body slam. There’s no excuse for it. No one will make any.

Joe Scarborough has painted a no-win portrait of VP Pence. On today’s Morning Joe, Scarborough said that Vice-President Pence “is either a sucker and a dupe for Donald Trump . . . or he’s a liar. There is no middle ground.” Giving Pence the dubious benefit of the doubt, Scarborough advised, “if it is the first, I think it’s about time for Mike Pence to go to Donald Trump and say, as I think most of us would, if you set me up to be your liar again, I’m walking.” View the video here.

Earlier this month, Joe Scarborough compared President Trump to his own mother, “who has had dementia for ten years.” Joe was back on his Trump-is-crazy beat on today’s Morning Joe. After Mika cited a Washington Post article quoting an anonymous source who wondered whether President Trump “is in the grip of some kind of paranoid delusion,” Joe weighed in, saying he’s heard reports all weekend that “the president is running around, screaming at television sets. He’s increasingly isolated.” Joe then upped the ante, adding that there are “reports at his club that he’s going off, detached. Almost detached from reality.”...

Not convinced the media is the opposition party yet? Well, Thursday provided another example as CNN issued a statement disguised as an editorial, blasting President Donald Trump for comments he made about liberal CNN hosts Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon as “beneath the dignity of the office of the President." Reported by Reliable Sources host Brian Stelter, he filled the role of network stenographer: "CNN says President Trump's latest anti-media attacks "are beneath the dignity of the office of the President." On today’s Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough said he didn’t want to bring religion into the health care debate. But he then proceeded to do just that.
