by John HillStand With Arizona Well the gloves are finally off, and the Death Star of the illegal alien amnesty movement is coming after America's most potent symbol against illegal immigration: Sheriff Joe Arpaio. National Council of La Raza President Janet Murguia, in a press conference in Phoenix, called the Maricopa County lawman "America's worst sheriff" and called on Arpaio to resign from office, claiming "discrimination against Latinos". This marks the first time that La Raza has come against Sheriff Arpaio directly. After the passage of S.B. 1070, NCLR and the SEIU paid to bus in protesters from Los Angeles...

Let’s face it, Greasy Joe probably has no idea where he is most of the time, so the fact he’s heading to Road Island probably doesn’t register with him. Joe Biden‘s camp might be overly-reliant on spell-check. The White House recently announced that the Vice President would be attending campaign events in “Road Island.” The glaring misspelling of the Ocean State showed up in a widely-distributed press release detailing Biden’s upcoming travel plans. After spending the holiday weekend in Wilmington, Del., the VP will make stops on Thursday in Boston, Mass., Manchester, New Hampshire, and finally, Providence, Rhode Island. In...

I'm really struggling to work out what all the fuss is about over this one. It seems to me to be much ado about nothing. Breaking news: Mitt Romney is very rich. He also gave millions and millions of dollars to charity and to the taxman. In the early hours of this morning, some 550 pages of Mitt Romney's tax returns and a 2011 tax summary were released by his campaign. Just after dawn, there was a long campaign conference call for bleary-eyed reporters in which an accountant (who sounded exactly like you'd imagine Mitt Romney's accountant would sound) went...

On the surface, it may appear that today’s findings and actions by our federal government are directed towards this Sheriff and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. The truth of the matter is...

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — A source close to the family of Joe Paterno tells The Associated Press the former Penn State coach was admitted to the hospital Sunday after re-fracturing his pelvis following a fall at his home. Paterno initially injured the pelvis after a player accidentally blindsided him in preseason practice. Paterno is also being treated for lung cancer. The person said it was determined he should stay in the hospital to keep his regiment of treatments while recovering from the...

'There are a couple of things ... that could be a little bit exciting' The results of a formal law-enforcement investigation into whether Barack Obama is eligible to be president of the United States could come as a "shock," according to Maricopa County, Ariz., Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Tuesday night, speaking to a tea-party group in Arizona, Arpaio said, "I can't tell you everything, but there could be a shock there somewhere that my guys came up with. I can't talk too much about it. It's in the process." WND previously has reported that Arpaio has constituted a special five-member law...

Tuesday morning on AM Tampa Bay on 970 WFLA, Vice President Joe Biden was asked by Jack Harris about the Occupy Wall Street Movement. The VP said "I really don't know about the Van Jones group, except what I read in the press." The group is currently protesting in New York City against the social and economic inequality, corporate greed and the influence of corporate money and lobbyists on government. Later in his response in talking about the frustration seen in the Tea Party and the Occupy Wall Street Group, Biden said "you have on the one end Van Jones'...

During Thursday’s House Education & Workforce hearing, U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) described the National Labor Relations Board’s (NLRB) actions as creating a hostile environment for business. Wilson claimed that the pro-Big Labor Obama NLRB created an unintended consequence for Big Labor. Rep. Wilson said that the NLRB’s actions have turned the 28 force-unionism states into ''Roach Motels'' that will trap employers with the help of the NLRB, and prevent them from ever leaving or expanding outside these states’ borders. Wilson said that the NLRB actions translate into only one option for employers if they are going to locate in

From the Morning Jolt for this Tuesday: Biden Apparently Believes Obama Negotiates With Terrorists Now Somewhere along the line, in our modern political discourse, “terrorist” became a synonym for “someone who won’t give me what I want.” After the debt ceiling deal was struck, it took Vice President Joe Biden milliseconds and milliseconds to reinforce the suggestion that the administration and their allies are so morally myopic that they are almost genetically incapable of understanding what actually motivates the Tea Parties and others worried about runaway spending: “Vice President Joe Biden joined House Democrats in lashing tea party Republicans Monday,...

You just can’t make this up. Oaf Joe Biden told reporters he joked with shooting victim about “cracked heads.” Vice President Joe Biden, with a big smile on his face, walked to the House floor and said, “I came to see Gabby, that’s why I’m here.” …When Biden was asked about what he spoke with Giffords about, he joked, “She’s now a member of the cracked head club like me.”

Time magazine's Joe Klein this weekend claimed President Obama has a better relationship with the military than George W. Bush did when he was Commander-in-Chief. Such hypocritically was said on "The Chris Matthews Show" just moments before Klein noted that the military were "very much opposed" to attacking Libya (snip) JOE KLEIN, TIME MAGAZINE: The other thing is there’s still tension between [President Obama] and Petraeus about what exactly, how exactly to close out Afghanistan. I'd say the relationship is pretty good, very, better than it was with Bush

Jones, of course, killed no one. Suicide bombers kill as many people as they can for Allah. But Joe Klein is by no means alone in assuming that Muslims cannot control themselves and respond to insult with anything but threats and murder, and thus cannot be held responsible for their own actions. He thus reveals again the multicultural Left's bigotry and ethnocentrism. "Joe Klein Reserves Spot in Hell for Koran-burning Pastor Who's As 'Murderous' As 'Suicide Bombers,'" by Ken Shepherd for NewsBusters, April 4 (thanks to James): Burning a copy of the Koran is morally equivalent to flying a plane...

After studying the constitutional language governing the use of military force and the debates that the Framers had on the issue, Joe Biden determined that the Founding Fathers had vested the power to authorize even the limited use of military force in the Congress not the president---unless it was necessary for the president to act swiftly to repel an attack on the United States or to rescue U.S. citizens. Biden derided the opposite position—that the president could use military force without congressional authorization—as a “monarchist” view of presidential power. That was in 1998, however, when Biden was in the Senate.

Joe Scarborough's "intuitive gut reaction" to the mess in Wisconsin is that Gov. Walker's holdout against union pleas for collective bargaining "seems kind of un-American" to him. It supposedly pained the self-described small-government conservative to say it, but he held to his opinion on Monday's "Morning Joe." "I'm going to get killed for saying this," Scarborough hesitantly prefaced his confession. "I'm going to get so killed for saying this – I hate to say this, but the concept of telling people that they

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio led a field of potential Republican Senate candidates in Arizona with 21 percent in a poll of likely GOP primary voters last week. Rep. Jeff Flake, who announced his candidacy for the seat of retiring Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) on Monday, finished second with 16.8 percent in the Summit Consulting Group survey. Former Rep. J.D. Hayworth took third, with 16.6 percent. He was unsuccessful in his primary challenge to Sen. John McCain last year.
