Massachusetts voters will now be getting a chance to decide if those illegally living in Massachusetts should be given licenses. A group of citizens has gotten 50,617 signatures verified, over the 40,000 required to put the law on the ballot in November. The bill, the “Work and Family Mobility Act,” was initially vetoed by Governor Charlie Baker — but Democrats overrode his veto. The divide within the Massachusetts Republican Party is growing wider. Republican State Committeewoman Janet Leombruno is concerned about what's been happening with the state party. "It is incredibly hard to operate in the party today as a pragmatic centrist," she said. WOBURN -- Police acted immediately after receiving a call from Massachusetts Republican Party headquarters on Wednesday about a man wearing a pink mask entering MassGOP offices and accusing staffers of being "fascists" before threatening to "come back with a weapon," among other profanity-laced threats. The individual identified himself as Hugh Samson. MassGOP staff was able to positively identify the man after a cursory internet search yielded news photos of him protesting in November 2020:

Charlie Baker along with other moderate Republicans are blasting the leaders of their own party after a vote by the Republican National Committee declared the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol, “legitimate political discourse.” “The Governor commends anyone who is willing to step forward and tell the truth, and disagrees with this vote. Jennifer Nassour, the former Mass GOP chair, said it would be the “end of the Republican party in Massachusetts” if Geoff Diehl defeats Gov. Charlie Baker in a potential primary election. Legislation to add a “Gender X” option to driver’s license should have been a straightforward task in the far-left state of Massachusetts, but one Republican lawmaker managed to derail the bill by taking transgender ideology to its furthest extreme.
