As of today, Jim Graves is going to indefinitely suspend his campaign for Congress from the 6th District. Translation: He is not running. He is dropping out of politics to concentrate on his family and his business. ~SNIP~ “Basically, after all that’s gone on, and with Michele Bachmann now stepping down, I’ve been talking to my friends and family and frankly, the feeling is, ‘Mission Accomplished.’ She wasn’t representing the people of the 6th District appropriately, and now she won’t be representing them. There’s no way anyone could run and win who would be worse than Michele Bachmann. So we...

Actually, it might be a stretch to call this a retirement. Rep. Michele Bachmann announced last night that she would not seek a fifth term in the House from Minnesota’s 6th Congressional district in this nearly nine-minute valediction. As The Week notes, however, Bachmann doesn’t say she’s retiring from politics or even electoral politics, which means she may have something else in mind already (via Andrew Malcolm): (VIDEO-AT-LINK) On Monday, Politico speculated that Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), the “bomb-throwing conservative and onetime Republican presidential candidate,” faced an “existential threat in 2014.” Bachmann “may be the congresswoman with nine lives,” said...

U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann is leading Democratic challenger Jim Graves heading into the final weeks of the campaign, according to a new poll commissioned by the Star Tribune. Bachmann, who is waging one of the most expensive House campaigns in the nation against a political newcomer, is favored by 51 percent of likely voters in Minnesota's sprawling Sixth Congressional District, which stretches from west of St. Cloud into Woodbury. Another 45 percent would choose Graves, a St. Cloud native and owner of Graves Hospitality Corp., an expansive hotel chain. Four percent of voters are undecided. The Oct. 16 poll conducted...

This has been sticking in my craw for a long time, but it came to the forefront yesterday evening when I was listening to Mark Levin speaking to Michele Bachmann on his syndicated radio program. Michele Bachmann has been targeted not only by the Demarxists, but by her own party. Folks, this is just sick stuff. Her opponent in this race is a typical lefty, spouting ‘moderate’ themes only to turn hard left once in office. The difference here is that Michele’s opponent, Jim Graves, has very deep pockets with an estimated worth of somewhere around 140 million dollars. He...
