The US has said it will send aid to famine-hit areas of Somalia controlled by the Islamist group al-Shabab. But US aid officials say assurances must be given that the insurgents will not interfere with its distribution. An Austrian has been fined for yodelling while mowing his lawn, according to a report. The Kronen Zeitung newspaper claims Helmut G. was told by a court in Graz, Styria, that his yodelling offended his next-door Muslim neighbours. The men reportedly accused the 63-year-old of having tried to mock and imitate the call of the Muezzin. Earlier this month the website entitled RevoutionMuslim.com was shut down by US authorities after publishing a threatening message to the MP’s of the UK, who voted in favor of the Iraq war. Their threatening message which calls for Muslims to kill the MPs, was posted right after UK Muslim Roshonara Choudhry, was sentenced to life for stabbing former minister Stephen Timms. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today issued an updated travel advisory for those concerned about new airport security measures involving full-body scanners and more invasive pat-downs. Earlier this year, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) began phasing in full-body Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) scanners in airports as a primary screening method.
