I went to the VA Hospital in La Jolla, California yesterday to fill a prescription and get a new knee brace. While I was there, I asked if they had any Iraq War vets as inpatients. I was told that there were. I then asked if they were receiving enough mail. That was probably a stupid question, because you never get enough mail when you’re in the military. It seems that the majority of letter writing campaigns were focused on the vets at Walter Reed, Bethesda Naval Hospital, and those presently ‘in country’. We need to let the rest of...
