A group of gunmen blew up a bomb at the Bai Hassan oil field in Iraq’s northern province of Kirkuk on Wednesday, China’s news agency Xinhua reported, citing a provincial police chief. So far no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. The Kurdish military forces, the Peshmerga, arrived at the scene after the militants had fled and found another two bombs at other installations in the oil field, but managed to defuse them. Last week, ISIS fighters killed five people in an attack on Bai Hassan, and attempted to take down a gas compression station nearby as well, where...

As operations to retake the militant-held city of Mosul ramp up, Iraqi Christians displaced from the area by the Islamic State group say that even if the militants are defeated militarily, the country will not be safe for minorities. Qaraqosh, the biggest Christian town on the Nineveh plains in Iraq’s north, fell to IS more than two years ago and remains under militant control. Most of its displaced inhabitants are living in camps in Iraq’s Kurdish region. Hundreds of others fled to neighboring countries, Europe, the United States and further afield. …

The policy document, known as the President Policy Guidance, or PPG, says counterterrorism operations, including lethal action against designated terrorist targets, "shall be discriminating and precise as reasonably possible" and says "direct action" against "high value targets" "will be taken only when there is near certainty that the individual being targeted is, in fact, the lawful target and located at the place where the action will occur."

I just listened to Obama give Washington’s account of the situation with ISIL in Iraq and Syria. In Obama’s account, Washington is defeating ISIL in Iraq, but Russia and Assad are defeating the Syrian people in Syria. Obama denounced Russia and the Syrian government—but not ISIL—as barbaric. The message was clear: Washington still intends to overthrow Assad and turn Syria into another Libya and another Iraq, formerly stable and prosperous countries where war now rages continually. It sickens me to hear the President of the United States lie and construct a false reality, so I turned off the broadcast. I...

Funding Iran directly funds terrorism because the Iranian regime is effectively a terror state. Back in the Senate, Obama fought against the classification of the Revolutionary Guard, a key Iranian political-military institution, as terrorists. He's remained consistent since then. 3. This is simply treason. Obama is aiding and abetting the murder of Americans. He's funding terrorism. He's funding Iran's wars in the region, which aside from Israel, include campaigns in Iraq and Syria that have dragged the United States in. The Obama administration secretly organized an airlift of $400 million worth of cash to Iran that coincided with the January...

Iraqi air force pilot photo via Arnaud Delalande On July 17, 2016, the first photo appeared on social media depicting an Iraqi air force An-32B Cline transport aircraft carrying a bomb on an external pylon. ItÂ’s not the first time that transport aircraft have pulled double duty as bombers. Following Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, Iraq began to rebuild its air force, which had been decimated during the invasion. Most Iraqi combat aircraft were discovered by coalition forces in poor condition on various air bases, while others were found buried outside their bases or in nearby towns and villages where...

In a new issue of their English-language Dabiq magazine, ISIS battles against the term "senseless violence" being used to describe their attacks, stressing that all of their crimes make perfect jihad sense. One of the articles in the 82-page "Break the Cross" issue, titled "Why We Hate You & Why We Fight You," notes that "shortly following the blessed attack on a sodomite, Crusader nightclub by the mujahid Omar Mateen, American politicians were quick to jump into the spotlight and denounce the shooting, declaring it a hate crime, an act of terrorism, and an act of senseless violence.""A hate crime? Yes....

Documents obtained by several journalistic investigations reveal that Lafarge has paid taxes to the terror group to operate its cement plant in Syria, and even bought Isis oil for years. Lafarge also has close ties to Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Apart from being a regular donor to the Clinton Foundation, Clinton herself was a director of Lafarge in the early 1990s, and did legal work for the firm in the 1980s. During her connection to Lafarge, the firm was implicated in facilitating a CIA-backed covert arms export network to Saddam Hussein.

Donald Trump is doing Harry Houdini’s act. In the 1890s, Houdini was famous for performing a trick he called “Metamorphosis.” The magician’s hands would be tied securely behind his back and he’d climb into a sack that was tied at the top with a knotted rope. Then the bag – with Houdini inside – was placed in a wooden trunk which was locked and secured with leather straps. Houdini’s wife and assistant, Bess, would draw a curtain around the locked trunk and step inside. The audience heard her clap her hands once, twice, three times – and on the third...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The FBI has warned local authorities of a threat that Islamic State militants would blow up the Memphis & Arkansas Bridge spanning the Mississippi River, an agency spokesman said on Tuesday.
