Mitt Romney will hold interviews today with ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox News and CNN that will run this evening, sources tell POLITICO. The network interviews, which will be taped later this afternoon, will air during the nightly news casts. Jon Karl will interview Romney for ABC; Peter Alexander for NBC; and Jan Crawford for CBS. Jim Acosta will interview Romney for CNN. Romney's tenure at Bain Capital, which was called into question again yesterday, and his vice presidential pick will almost certainly be topics of discussion.

Sent: 4/10/2012 6:28:47 P.M. Central Daylight Time Subj: New message from Kristi Nelson My name Kristi Nelson, and I'm with NBC 5 News here in DFW. I’m working on a series of stories about race relations in 2012. This was planned before all of the recent race discussions prompted by the Trayvon Martin case, although perhaps that makes the topic more timely. I’m writing because we need input from people who identify themselves as “Conservative.” What we're asking people is how they feel race relations have improved or declined here in North Texas, or if they believe racial equality has...

My last interview was typical of the new "selection process" employers utilize to weed out the unwanted and unemployable. The first interview was only round one in the boxing ring fighting to get a job. The recruiter gave us the heads up about the selection process. "Today is the first round, and out of that group we will select those who will be brought back for a second interview. If that goes well, we'll have a third interview, where we will interrogate you with a Tae Kwon Do master on hand. You will be tied to a chair with rope...

House Republicans canceled plans to subpoena executive branch officials over the Solyndra loan guarantee after reaching an agreement with the White House Thursday.Republicans on the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s investigative panel had planned to vote Friday on a resolution authorizing subpoenas to two White House officials and three officials of the White House Office of Management and Budget. But the White House agreed Thursday to voluntarily make the officials available for interviews with committee investigators, making the subpoena vote unnecessary, lawmakers said.

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance is preparing to ask that all charges against the former head of the IMF accused of attempting to rape hotel maid Nafissatou Diallo are dropped Tuesday. "The rule of law has basically been thrown out the window. Money printing is the order of the day. And when politicians take control of central banks, which they have done in the United States and they are also doing in Europe, that basically destroys the currency. It puts the currency on the road to what I call the Fiat Currency Graveyard, so I expect there are going to be massive currency problems as we go forward. The financial crisis that we have been dealing with for the last several years has not been solved." So cautions James Turk, widely-respected...

Preliminary Remarks and Introduction A couple of weeks ago I posted a video by professed Christian-turned-Atheist Chris Redford, along with my arguments there is no evidence he ever was a Christian. After some email correspondence with Mr. Redford, he agreed to answer some questions for this site. Because of the length of his responses I have decided to give each question and answer a separate post, otherwise I give each of his answers in complete form without interruption. I will give my response only at the end of each question. I think this is the only fair way to...

Pretty women applying for 'masculine' jobs would be best to dress down for job interviews. That's because attractive women are overlooked for roles which are seen as 'masculine', according to a study. However, handsome men are always at an advantage and never discriminated against.

While devoting all of Sunday's Face the Nation to an interview with Attorney General Eric Holder, CBS host Bob Schieffer failed to ask a single question about the Obama Justice Department dropping a voter intimidation case against the Black Panthers or allegations that the department has adopted a policy of ignoring such cases. Schieffer discussed a range of topics with Holder, from the federal lawsuit against Arizona's immigration law, to a potential criminal investigation into BP, to the trial of terrorist Khalid Shaik Muhammed and closing Guantanamo Bay. At the end of the interview, Schieffer even asked about Holder's infamous...

Was one of America's most revered popular historians fabricating his own material? That's the explosive charge now levied at Stephen Ambrose, author of numerous bestselling military and presidential histories. The author of "D-Day" and "Band of Brothers" died in 2002, but several authorities have recently questioned the writer's accounts of his research for "Supreme Commander," a massive two-volume biography of Dwight D. Eisenhower. At a minimum, Ambrose's critics say, he had vastly exaggerated the amount of time he spent interviewing the former president; and at worst, they suggest, he simply made up long stretches of the book. The U.K. Guardian...

The Media Strategy and Palin's Underperformance [Byron York] A few more thoughts on Palin's underperformance so far in media interviews. Yes, I think the McCain team has pursued a bad strategy for her, relying mostly on the broadcast networks, with an incomprehensible leaning toward the last-place network, CBS. But there is also the problem of Palin's underperformance. I say underperformance because I'm working on a piece for the magazine about Palin's governing style in Alaska. Guess what? She does what governors do. In her time in office, she has been deeply involved in not just the gas pipeline and other...

WASHINGTON, July 4, 2006 – As the nation observes its 230th birthday, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff took to the airwaves today to thank the men and women of the armed forces and their families for their service. Marine Gen. Peter Pace noted on NBC's "Today" program that Army Gen. George W. Casey Jr., commander of Multinational Force Iraq, had observed the holiday by presideing at a citizenship ceremony for 110 U.S. servicemembers. "You know, we've got almost 200,000 folks in the Gulf right now making it possible for us to celebrate today, and it's proper for...

"Turning Hillary Clinton into a victim by publishing outrageous claims could backfire and strengthen her candidacy in 2008. This would be ironic given all the horrible things that Bill and Hillary have done over the years to the women who got in the way, including threats, smears, and intimidation. Hillary has shown that she'll stop at nothing to protect her political power—her real deeds are far more disturbing than the tawdry speculation Klein is spreading." One of the "outrageous claims" is said to be that "Chelsea Clinton was conceived when Bill raped Hillary." Other alleged "outrageous claims" are said to...

For months there had been a quiet buzz in both political and publishing circles surrounding "The Book" being written about Sen. Hillary Clinton. The scuttlebutt had it that New York Times best-selling author Edward Klein was in the final stages of a blockbuster expose of the former first lady, the likes of which could derail her 2008 presidential aspirations. "The Truth About Hillary" is now out, and it has lived up to its billing in the fireworks department. Except the controversy surrounds not Hillary Clinton but author Ed Klein, and the broadsides against him are coming primarily from conservatives, not...

When the media thought Karl Rove was the big source, the “Deep Throat” of the 21st century (give or take some hysterical adoration), newspapers blasted breathless reports on the front page predicting doom for the media-challenged aid. When it was learned that Rove was far from being the original source and that it was in fact he who had learned of Valerie “not-a-covert-spy” Plame-Wilson from other reporters, small blurbs could be found somewhere on page A17 of most major newspapers, lodged somewhere between competing advertisements for hair growth products. Of course by Friday the media were back to dropping Rove’s...
