Defying a British publication ban, foreign media are reporting that Alfie Evans’ life support will be removed tomorrow. However, his parents have appealed the decision in a last-minute attempt to be allowed to determine their son’s course of care. Yesterday, Mr. Justice Hayden declared that the 23-month child’s life was “futile.” According to Italian newspaper La Nuova Bussola Quotidiana, the judge set April 13 as the date of Alfie’s death. This morning, Alfie’s parents, Tom Evans and Kate James, appealed this decision, asking the court to release their son into their care, so that they may take him to a...

The majority of debate between pro-lifers and abortion advocates has centered around the 20-week abortion ban that failed in the Senate Monday. Another important bill, however, recently passed the House and would prevent babies who’ve been born after botched abortions from being murdered shortly thereafter. The U.S. House approved the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act in January, and it requires health care practitioners to give the same care to a child born alive after a botched abortion as they would provide to any other child birthed at the same gestational age. They must also ensure that babies born after botched abortions are immediately admitted to a...

Planned Parenthood has condemned the U.S. House’s passage of a bill that would require abortionists to immediately provide emergency medical care to an infant born alive during an abortion. Planned Parenthood ✔@PPact The unnecessary anti-abortion bill moving through the House isn’t what people or doctors and clinicians want. #PatientsOverPolitics 12:56 PM - Jan 19, 2018 Referring to the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act as an “abortion ban,” Planned Parenthood said in a press statement: [T]he U.S. House passed an unnecessary, inflammatory abortion ban, H.R. 4712, that criminalizes abortion providers. Medical guidelines and ethics already compel physicians facing life-threatening circumstances to...

Friday marks the 45th March for Life in Washington, D.C. Tens of thousands of pro-life activists have arrived in the nation's capital to defend the rights of unborn children. Many would agree that it's not only...

Tomorrow the U.S. House of Representatives is expected to vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act that would protect infants who survive a failed abortion. AFA encourages you to contact and urge your Congressman to vote for this bill. Just so you know, during the 114th Congress (2014-15), this same bill passed the House, but a Republican majority in the U.S. Senate allowed the bill to die. Senate Republican leadership, namely Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, is to blame despite the overwhelming number of Republican Senators who would have voted for the bill.

A University of Tennessee student has argued that two-year-old children have no right to life because they cannot communicate. Students for Life of America have released a video interview of the unnamed student to illustrate the extreme positions taken by the pro-abortion movement. In the short clip, the male student is asked what he thinks about the argument that children can be “aborted” until the age of two. “I’ll buy that,” says the student although he proceeds to argue for the death of two-year olds, believing them to be incapable of communication. “The fact of the matter is that...

From the University of Tennessee-Knoxville comes word of a shocking video of a student arguing in favor of infanticide — killing babies up to two-years-old. The video was filmed by Students for Life of America on the campus of Tennessee’s flagship taxpayer-funded university. “The idea that someone could support infanticide is incredibly disturbing. Yet, it reflects the kinds of attitudes our staff members and students can face on a daily basis on high school and college campuses,” Students for Life of America president Kristan Hawkins said. Brenna Lewis, SLA’s Appalachian regional coordinator, recorded one of the encounters in early December...

Killing a baby in the womb is a good parenting decision. It's a blessing. It's normal. It's a family value. These essentially are the messages of a new billboard campaign by Ohio's largest abortion business, Preterm. The ads celebrate and normalize abortion, leaving out the part about the baby's death. The AP reports Preterm recently paid for 16 billboards in the Cleveland area that display the words "Abortion is ..." followed by different phrases, such as "a parenting decision," "a blessing," "liberty" and "your right." Other phrases include "life-saving," "necessary" and "a second chance." None of the billboards explain what...

A San Diego abortion business that was the site of an abortionist’s “bizarre demonic rant” against a pro-life activist has been closed down by a chain of California clinics, according to Operation Rescue. Operation Rescue’s Cheryl Sullenger said this week the Miramar Road site, which is part of the FPA Women’s Health chain, was closed Nov. 17. It was abortionist Robert Santella who confronted pro-life activist Zephaniah Mel with a pair of surgical scissors, a rant that included hissing and growling, and a confession that he loved killing children. “That behavior, along with complaints of malpractice and botched abortions, resulted...

Title: The disturbing questions raised by the fate of baby Elsie Gay fitness instructor Matthew Scully-Hicks, who with his husband Craig adopted a baby girl they named Elsie, has been found guilty of her murder in the UK and jailed for a minimum of 18 years. I can’t bring myself to recount every detail of this poor little girl’s ordeal, but a chronology of events and the repeated trauma that Elsie suffered at the hands of her adoptive "father" is outlined here. A Serious Case Review is in the offing and already the apologists are out, keen to point out...

Abortion, on the other hand, was a priority, said Thayer. She revealed that Planned Parenthood has an “in-house” “pot of money” to fund abortion “for women who otherwise might not be able to pay for it.” Ironically, the money was called the Justice Fund. To ensure women would return for abortion, Lancaster said they would offer even more incentives. “After paying pretty much, writing off the balance of the procedure, we would give them, $50 to a $150, basically cash, because it was on a Visa debit card for them to get a hotel and gas money to make sure...

To the utter consternation of the abortion rights movement, the issue of abortion simply will not go away. Decades after abortion rights activists thought they had put the matter to rest with the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, America’s conscience is more troubled than ever, and near-panic appears to break out regularly among abortion activists. Such a panic is now under way, and the defenders of abortion are trotting out some of their most dishonest arguments. One of the worst is the claim that Christians have only recently become concerned about the sanctity of human life and the evil...

September 21, 2017 (Public Discourse) — Imagine a day in the not-too-distant future when we finally have the coveted fifth vote necessary to strike down Roe v. Wade. Recall the many years of sweat and tears, ups and downs, wrangling about judicial nominations, and arguing about presidential elections. Then imagine that fifth vote no longer even matters because abortion has been declared a human right by international law. The issue is not just out of the hands of the Supreme Court — it is out of the hands of the American people. This nightmare is now unfolding before our very...

Abortionist Dr. Warren Hern’s abortion facility in Boulder, Colorado, does abortions all the way up until birth. He brazenly advertises third-trimester abortions on his website. The next time someone tells you abortions never happen in the third trimester, send him to Hern’s site. Abortion clinic manager turned pro-lifer Abby Johnson once described a conversation she and the workers at her abortion facility had about Hern. Johnson said her boss at the time said the babies aborted by Hern are so large, “they come out crying and looking for their mama.” I remember one day at Planned Parenthood we were standing...

Cecile Richards is upset that Trump ended DACA because the Planned Parenthood abortion business will get fewer customers as a result. She says she is “heartbroken” by the decision. As everyone knows, the Planned Parenthood abortion company has a long history of preying on minorities to sell abortions. It has frequently located its abortion centers in historically minority neighborhoods in order to prey on Black and Hispanic women. In an email sent to the abortion company’s supporters today, Richards indicated she is very upset at Trump for ending the DACA. The email makes it very clear that Planned Parenthood hopes...

woman accused of throwing her newborn baby from an 8th-floor apartment window in Uptown has been sentenced to four years probation. Mubashra Uddin had been charged with four counts of murder for allegedly killing the baby girl moments after giving birth in her family's apartment. But prosecutors last week agreed to drop three of those charges and then reduced the fourth murder count to involuntary manslaughter of a family member. Judge Carol M. Howard handed down a sentence of probation. Uddin was 19 when she gave birth around 11:20 p.m. on November 11, 2015, in a bedroom of an apartment...

Early Options, an abortion facility in New York, has a fancy website featuring happy couples embracing. The facility advertises something it calls the “Soft Touch” method of abortion, which is a suction aspiration abortion using a hand-held syringe. In this type of abortion, a tube attached to a syringe is inserted into the woman’s uterus, and the abortionist manually creates the suction by pumping the syringe. This pulls apart the preborn child, forcing her, often in pieces, from the woman’s body. The abortion facility calls this type of abortion “noninvasive” and “natural.” There is, of course, nothing natural about inserting...
