On Monday, PBS aired the controversial documentary “After Tiller,†a film that sympathizes with the four remaining late-term abortionists in the country. Pro-life groups immediately filed petitions urging the station to remove the film from its lineup, to no avail. Today, the documentary’s filmmakers and Dr. Susan Robinson, one of the abortionists featured in the film, participated in a Google Chat to field viewers’ questions. Their “answers†were misleading, accusatory, and, at times, outright lies.“What is the hardest part of your job?,†one Google participant asked Dr. Robinson: “Listening to the desperate, sad stories and not taking it on as...

Millions of pro-life people may be up in arms about a pro-abortion film PBS will air this evening that “humanizes” late-term abortions, but the taxpayer-funded network doesn’t seem to care. Instead, it’s announced it is hosting a live video chat with the producers of the film, “After Tiller,” that glorifies late-term abortion practitioners. PBS posted a promotional for the chat on Saturday. Some pro-life groups are already encouraging pro-life advocates to be involved so the chat is not a one-sided affair in favor of abortion. RSVP and join the conversation on Google+ » pbsOn Tuesday, September 2, 2014, from 1...

Shortly before the news broke that a judge had struck down a key part of the new Texas abortion law, RH Reality Check writer Andrea Grimes — the genius behind the “Taco and Beer Abortion Challenge” that was an utter flop — wrote about how horrible sterile abortion clinics are. According to Grimes, they’re just too cold and intimidating. And there’s no recliners or herbal tea! In San Antonio, Whole Woman’s corporate vice president Andrea Ferrigno took me on a tour of their two-facility space: a small, purple-tinted clinic that feels like a cozy gynecologist’s office, and a fluorescent-lit surgical...

A recent story at Esquire chronicled the abortion practice of Willie Parker, an abortionist who commutes from Chicago to Mississippi to commit abortions at the state’s last abortion mill. Mississippi is devoid of any abortionists of its own who are capable of obtaining hospital admitting privileges, a requirement now mandated by law in several states. Consequently, Parker — who boasts an unusually clean record for an abortionist, and was able to obtain privileges nearby — travels to the South to fill in.Esquire calls Parker’s practice a “ministry,†playing off of the abortionist’s professed Christianity. The author chose to conclude the...

The Taco or Beer Challenge couldn’t be simpler: You eat a taco and/or drink a beer, and you donate to an abortion fund. The only ice you’ll need for this challenge is the ice in your cooler, or maybe the ice in your water if you get a particularly spicy taco. (Snip) I started the Taco or Beer Challenge on Monday as something of a Twitter joke, after hearing about the “ice bucket challenge” that’s been growing in popularity as celebrities and plebes alike film themselves dumping buckets of ice-cold water on themselves, sometimes to hilarious effect, in support of...

In a piece for The Washington Post, blogger Carter Eskew recently argued, “It’s time for a new dialogue on abortion.”Eskew, director at The Glover Park Group (which lobbies for Planned Parenthood) and former strategist for Al Gore, wrote in response to his colleague Janet Harris, who insisted abortion is never immoral or “difficult.” “Control over one’s reproduction is a deeply affirmative value,” he approved, and “It’s time to assert it.” Citing Harris, Eskew affirmed, “She couldn’t be more right” and added, “the current political dialogue is even worse than she documents.” “The pro-choice movement,” he lamented, “has been on the...

Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Weston, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, stopped at a Hobby Lobby store in her district on Wednesday – not to pick up some craft supplies for one of her kid’s school projects, but to alert people to the store’s existence and urge people not to shop there. “I want people to know that this Hobby Lobby is here and they should vote with their purses and their pocketbooks, and women should not shop here. If you didn’t know this Hobby Lobby was here before, know it now and don’t shop here. They don’t...

Pro-life activist Sarah Terzo runs a web site that exposes some of the craziest and most bizarre quotes from abortion practitioners and abortion advocates. She recently posted one quote that is eyebrow-raising. Prochoicer Eileen McDonagh: “Some might suggest that the solution to coercive pregnancy is simply for the woman to wait until the fetus is born, at which point its coercive imposition of pregnancy will cease. This type of reasoning is akin to suggesting that a woman being raped should wait until the rape is over rather than stopping the rapist…. the fetus is not innocent but instead aggressively intrudes...

“Earnestness is stupidity sent to college,” quoth the wise and well-traveled wit P.J. O’Rourke. The line would seem to fit many adherents of the Effective Altruism movement, a trendy subset of the philanthropy world.... The movement’s intellectual guru, Peter Singer [is] best known for his support of infanticide, bestiality (and other forms of “animal liberation”), and necrophilia (as long as it’s consensual).... [There is a] near-perfect parallel between (1) a passage in Singer’s Practical Ethics that justifies killing a disabled infant in hopes of someday having another child “with better prospects of a happy life,” and (2) a historical account...

Interesting pair of commentaries in the Los Angeles Times tell us a lot about the state of the abortion battle and the disarray within the pro-abortion community.First an editorial praises two decisions that struck down Mississippi’s and Alabama’s laws requiring abortionists to have admitting privileges at a local hospital. Then an opinion piece by a veteran pro-abortion war horse, Carla Hall, who laments that the infighting over the decision to kind of, sort of retired the “pro-choice” label could deemphasize the obsession with abortion. We’ve already cribbed from the dissent by Judge Emilio M. Garza to debunk the appeals court decision...

A hipster pro-choice couple from North Carolina created a Tumblr blog dedicated to making fun of pro-life supporters protesting outside of abortion clinics. Called “Saturday Chores,” the blog documents the abortion enthusiasts’ trips to various abortion clinics holding signs they consider “funny” in a form of political counter protest.

The OC Weekly has reported that a woman who was under arrest was taken for late term abortion at the Family Planning Associates Medical Group (FPA) abortion clinic in Long Beach. Following her visit to FPA for the 20 week abortion the prisoner suffered an incomplete abortion and had to be hospitalized. The botched procedure was performed in 2012 but is only coming to light after the Orange County District Attorney’s Office published their investigative report on the death of the fetus. From the story: On March 13, 2012, Huntington Beach police arrested a woman identified in the report as...

Though Planned Parenthood has long claimed abortion is a tiny part of its mission, the president and CEO of one of its affiliates says the organization “absolutely†celebrates when its offices perform more abortions. Vicki Cowart, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, wrote a blog post that verified a wide-spread story that the affiliate had given a Colorado office an award for increasing the number of abortions it performed. A former abortion industry worker took a picture of a special commendation Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains bestowed upon the Aurora, Colorado, office for “exceeding abortion visits...

According to the Guttmacher Institute, in 2009 the median cost of a first-trimester abortion was just under $500. Add the bus travel or gas and up to three nights in a hotel, and the cost can jump by several hundred dollars. That’s the impetus behind Clinic Action Support Network, which was founded last summer in response to the new law, and aims to help Houston-area women clear the growing hurdles to abortion access. But regulations and requirements like those in HB2 are not limited to Texas. Twenty-seven states have passed abortion regulations…. The trend has given rise to networks like...

The formation of the Women’s Equality Party, which is designed to further the Democrats' national “war on women” campaign theme, was announced at a gala on Thursday.

Every day, women around the world deal with the pain and grief of losing a baby in a miscarriage. Never one to show much compassion to women or their loved ones, Planned Parenthood is taking advantage of the term miscarriage to justify abortion. As the pro-life group STOPP reports, one Planned Parenthood abortion clinic has begun using plannedparenthood32bthe term “voluntary miscarriage” to characterize an abortion that purposefully takes the life of an unborn child via the RU 486 or mifepristone abortion drug. Moreover, the Planned Parenthood abortion facility in question is putting women’s health and lives at risk by instructing...

Obvious Child is an independent “romantic comedy” starring internet darling and brief Saturday Night Live cast member Jenny Slate as Donna, a stand-up comedian living in Brooklyn who has a one-night stand that turns into a pregnancy. Unlike the moms in the hits Juno or Knocked Up, Donna quickly decides to have an abortion.... The film, which scored the highest per theater earnings in the country in its very limited initial release in New York and Los Angeles, has received positive reviews presumably for its “bravery” of showing a woman having an abortion instead of a baby.

ELMHURST, Queens (PIX11) – Detectives say she told them that she killed her own baby boy because she had “reached her breaking point.” Now, Nicole “Nikki” Kelly is in police custody charged with the second degree murder of her 11-month-old son, and the story surrounding his death is disturbing to people who knew him and his mother. The child, Kiam Felix, Jr., was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital on Sunday afternoon after Kelly, 22, brought him into the emergency room with the boy’s father, who does not live with them.

Murdered in 2009 by anti-abortion fanatic Scott Roeder, Kansas late-term abortionist George Tiller has since been immortalized by pro-aborts as a rhetorical cudgel to slander peaceful pro-life Americans as condoning and enabling violence (a standard they would naturally take great umbrage at if pro-lifers blamed their entire movement for violence committed by individuals on their side).Salon’s Katie McDonough interviewed abortionist Cheryl Chastine, the current medical director of Tiller’s former clinic, about “honor[ing] his memory by providing fearless care for Kansans”:On pro-life laws requiring Chastine to give her patients “information that is intended to mislead them”: It feels like there’s a...
