Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will appear with Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at an event near Milwaukee touting school choice. The event Monday comes the day before Bush participates in the next Republican presidential debate in Milwaukee. It will mark the first time Walker has appeared publicly with a Republican presidential candidate since he dropped out of the race on Sept. 21. The U.S. government paid a Chicago consultant hundreds of thousands of dollars to put on diversity training workshops that, according to one watchdog, included an exercise in which employees were told to chant "our forefathers were illegal immigrants." The Senate's top Democrats sought to reassure supporters on Thursday that a key immigration bill wasn't dead this year.
