In a CBS News/YouGov poll, black Americans vastly favor President Donald Trump’s plan to deport entire illegal alien families over the Democrats’ preferred “Catch and Release” policy where adult illegal aliens arriving with minor children are released into the interior of the U.S. Nearly 40 percent of black Americans say illegal alien families ought to be deported together back to their home country, while only 20 percent said the families should be released into the country while they await their immigration and asylum hearings.

President Trump’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is seeking to house and detain up to 12,000 illegal aliens in Department of Defense facilities. In a letter to the Defense Department, DHS officials have asked that enough detention space be made available for the agency to detain up to 12,000 illegal aliens, specifically border crossing family units. DHS officials say that if the Defense Department does not have the facilities to house that number, DHS is requesting that the agency identify land space to build “semi-separate, soft-sided camp facilities capable of sheltering up to 4,000 people, at three separate locations,” the...

MEXICO CITY (Reuters)-Mexicans voted overwhelmingly for anti-establishment outsider Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador in Sunday's presidential election, exit polls showed, betting a leftward turn in government could end the corruption and violence that has blighted the country. One exit poll by polling firm Parametria showed Lopez-Obrador, a former Mexico City mayor, winning between 53 percent and 59 percent of the vote, far ahead of his two main rivals from Mexico's traditional ruling parties....

Separated Parents Are Failing Asylum Screenings Because They’re So Heartbroken Immigration lawyers say separated parents are too grief-stricken to focus on their cases. BROWNSVILLE, Texas Jodi Goodwin has spent the past month helping grief-stricken parents with their asylum cases. On most days, the Harlingen, Texas-based immigration lawyer drives to the Port Isabel Detention Center just outside of Brownsville to meet with clients who were separated from their children. But, she says, those mothers and fathers are too devastated to prepare for their court hearings. Instead, they replay the moment their kids were taken away by Border Patrol, worry about their...

If you believe recent media accounts, the former Democratic president has suddenly transcended the political fray. It’s as if a newly “Zen-like” Barack Obama is content to just write his memoir and let Donald Trump and Republicans write the next chapter of history. In a cover story asking “Where is Barack Obama?” for example, New York magazine concluded that the 44th president has “virtually disappeared” from the political scene and is sitting idly by as his legacy is dismantled piece by piece. From an exclusive interview, the periodical concluded Obama was “modeling his political engagement out of office after George...

[FULL TITLE] Anatomy of a Presidential Untruth: What Data Did the Justice Department Really Provide the White House? On Feb. 10 of last year, a Justice Department lawyer in the department’s National Security Division (NSD) assembled some data on international terrorism convictions for transmission to the White House. The lawyer, a man named George Toscas, included in his email to his superiors what he described as “some general statements that are supported by [the data] and can be used publicly.”**snip**In the wake of that analysis, Benjamin Wittes filed a Freedom of Information Act suit to find out how precisely the...

In response to a federal court order, the Trump administration announced a new policy with regard to migrant families on Friday. The administration will now hold families together for longer than 20 days. The Trump administration has been widely criticized by opponents and allies over children being separated from their parents by U.S. authorities at the border. President Trump signed an executive order on June 20 that ended the policy, but in his remarks said the government was going to “keep the families together. I didn’t like the sight or the feeling of families being separated.” To do this, however,...

Newly crowned RuPaul’s Drag Race champion Aquaria truly broke out in Season 10 when she won the “Snatch Game” challenge with her SNL-level impression of Melania Trump — thus proving that she has comedic chops behind her stunningly Instagrammable, lookbook-ready ensembles. (“Any hole is a goal” has now officially entered the Drag Race lexicon alongside other popular catchphrases like “halleloo,” “water off a duck’s back,” “purse first,” and “hieeeeee!”) But it turns out the 22-year-old former NYC club kid (real name: Giovanni Palandrani) thought the first lady was much better comedy fodder a couple of pre-election years ago — when...

It's one thing to tell a story that tugs on people's heartstrings. It's quite another to manipulate that story to color people's view. Of course, the liberal media knows a thing or two about twisting the truth to suit their narrative. And after days of posting gut-wrenching photos of children at the border, the facts are finally catching up with them. Turns out, the faces of the immigration debate aren't faces from this crisis at all! Time magazine is one of the biggest offenders. The crying toddler staring up at President Trump on the magazine’s latest cover was never separated...

Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-N.Y.), who visited detention centers for illegal immigrants in Texas and his district in New York, told C-SPAN’s “Washington Journal” that the facilities were “well-run” and the illegal minors that he saw did not seem to be distraught. “We see the photographs of kids in cages sleeping on mats, and that’s really when they’re first apprehended by law enforcement officials – Border Patrol, Homeland Security-related things. They’re then transferred to other facilities that are run by Health and Human Services, the Office of Refugee Resettlement. I visited El Paso this past weekend,” Suozzi said. “I visited the...

Last weekend, President Donald Trump argued that those foreigners who enter the United States unlawfully should simply be taken to the border, escorted across it and let go. According to the president, this would save precious government resources, avoid the business of separating children from their parents and free up the Border Patrol and other federal assets to do their jobs. He is undoubtedly correct on the beneficial consequences to the government of forced deportation without due process. Yet deportation without a trial is profoundly unconstitutional. Here is the back story. The nation has been torn apart by the images...

Rush Limbaugh opened up today lathered up over the Democrat infighting that resulted in a Bernie Sanders socialist winning a Democrat Congressional primary yesterday. El Rushbo framed it as "Radical" verus "Progressive" which enables the GOP Establishment political machine to keep up the notion that the Pelosi's, Schumer's, Feinstein's etc. are somehow extreme to the Left along with the outsiders so you'll be afraid and keep voting Republican this fall. But those folks aren't. They are just people who talk a good game while taking money from big business and big banks like their fake "Conservative" or "Patriot" couunterparts in...

A federal judge in California ordered the Trump administration to end its migrant family separation policy within 30 days late Tuesday. U.S. District Court Judge Dana Sabraw of San Diego issued the preliminary injunction, finding the practice likely violates the Constitution. The decision is not a ruling on the merits of the dispute. “Asylum seekers like Ms. L. and many other class members may be fleeing persecution and are entitled to careful consideration by government officials, particularly so if they have a credible fear of persecution,” he wrote. “We are a country of laws, and of compassion. We have plainly...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump said on Sunday that people who enter the United States illegally should be sent back to where they came from immediately without any judicial process. Facing a public outcry and pressure even from within his Republican Party, Trump last week reversed his policy of separating migrant children from their parents at the border so the adults could be detained and prosecuted, a process that typically takes months. Since buckling on the issue on Wednesday, Trump has redoubled his criticism of U.S. immigration laws on Twitter and in speeches where he likened illegal immigrants to...

The NYPD has released footage showing a large pack of young men believed to be gang members beating and stabbing a 14-year-old in The Bronx – two days before another local teenager was slashed to death in the borough. The attack took place at 5.30pm on June 18 in the median of the Bronx River Parkway, not far from the East Gun Hill Road exit. Police officers responded to the scene to find the 14-year-old victim lying unconscious and unresponsive, and suffering from multiple stab wounds all over his body.

It was the late 1990s when the Canadian man crossed the border into the United States, a visitor like millions of others, free to stay up to six months. Except that he never actually left the U.S., and never obtained U.S. government permission to stick around. He simply made a new life for himself in America. For the last 18 years, the Canadian has been an illegal immigrant. “He has a business in the U.S. and it’s active and he has employees,” says Fadi Minawi, the man’s Toronto-based lawyer. “He came to me and asked: ‘How do I get legal?’”...

McALLEN, Tex. — The nation’s top border security official said on Monday that his agency has temporarily stopped handing over migrant adults who cross the Mexican border with children to prosecutors, undercutting claims by other administration officials that “zero tolerance” for illegal immigration is still in place. Kevin K. McAleenan, the commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, said he had told border agents not to refer families to the Justice Department for prosecution until the two agencies can agree on a policy that would allow parents to be prosecuted without separating them from their children. Because Immigration and Customs Enforcement...
