Bears have become frequent uninvited guests at Doug Harder's Sandpoint, Idaho, home. In May, these three bears set up shop on the second-floor deck outside his condo. Harder found teeth marks in empty soda cans and scratches on the side of the building.

The latest presidential poll in Idaho shows Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton at the head of the Republican and Democratic fields, respectively, but Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders are relatively close seconds. A tiny school district in Idaho far removed from law enforcement has purchased firearms and trained a handful of staff to use them should the same school shooting rampage that has occurred across the country take place. Three federal judges have unanimously struck down an Idaho law that banned abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. A panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a previous ruling by the U.S. District Court for Idaho, which also found portions of the law unconstitutional. Jennie McCormack, the plaintiff in the case, was arrested in 2011 for taking a pack of five pills she had obtained through the Internet to end a pregnancy. The ruling comes a few weeks after the U.S. House passed legislation that would ban abortions after the same timespan, sending it to the Senate. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals said Idaho's law violates Supreme Court precedent protecting abortions up to the point of viability for a fetus, which has been considered to be around 24 weeks. TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Authorities say a 73-year-old BASE jumper who died after leaping from an Idaho bridge had set his parachute on fire as part of a stunt. A graphic video of the fatal jump, posted to YouTube on Monday, shows someone engulfed in flames and falling from the Perrine Bridge into the Snake River, 500 feet below. James E. Authorities are looking for a teen who wanted a date with Destiny and hoped to get it by spray-painting a prom proposal on an Idaho cliffside. The Idaho Statesman reports that the message “Destiny, Prom?” was painted in large pink and blue letters on the side of the Black Cliffs, in a popular rock climbing spot, east of Boise.
