Just 48 hours after Pro Bowl center Mike Pouncey found himself in hot water over recent Twitter comments, Dolphins second-year player Don Jones tweeted a controversial reaction to the St. Louis Rams drafting Michael Sam, who became the first openly gay player drafted in the NFL. NEW YORK -- It took nearly the entire draft, but Michael Sam and the NFL finally made history. The St. Louis Rams used the 249th pick in the seventh round to select Sam, who has officially become the league's first openly gay player. Like many people, Josh Hune loves the succulent taste of Chick-fil-A menu item No. 1, the classic chicken sandwich. Like far fewer fans, Hune also happens to be gay. A food catering worker in Brooklyn alleges in a lawsuit that Houston Rockets players heaved anti-gay insults his way while setting up a buffet in the team's locker room last season at Barclays Center, the Daily News reported Tuesday. An Albuquerque automobile dealership is agreeing to pay $2 million to settle a lawsuit alleging that dozens of male employees were subjected to same-sex sexual harassment and retaliation. A consent decree filed Thursday in federal court settles a 2011 suit filed by the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against Pitre (PEE'-tree) Inc., which does business as Pitre Buick. The suit alleged that managers subjected employees to sexual harassment that included solicitations for sex and grabbing. It also alleged that Pitre retaliated against workers who objected.
