There’s a meme circulating on social media that goes like this… If you catch 100 red fire ants as well as 100 large black ants, and put them in a jar, at first, nothing will happen. However, if you violently shake the jar and dump them back on the ground the ants will fight until they eventually kill each other. The thing is, the red ants think the black ants are the enemy and vice versa, when in reality, the real enemy is the person who shook the jar. This is exactly what’s happening in society today. Liberal vs. Conservative....

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on Sunday declared Democrats are "out of control" in Congress, and warned their progressive legislation is "reshaping America." "...They are changing every policy of [former President Donald] Trump that worked. We are going to be dealing with this out of control immigration." "The asylum claims are going to go through the roof..."

A New York federal judge has refused to dismiss Roy Moore's $95million defamation lawsuit against Sacha Baron Cohen, Showtime and CBS. Failed U.S. Senate candidate and former Alabama judge Moore claims that Baron Cohen publicly slandered him by suggesting he was a pedophile in a prank on the actor's comedy prank show, Who is America? Moore and his wife Kayla filed the suit in in September 2018. Moore was duped into appearing on a five minute portion of the show, with Baron Cohen pretending to be an Israeli counterterrorism instructor called Erran Morad. In the segment which aired in July...

The latest smear on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh is a disaster for Democrats, and everyone seems to know it except the party’s presidential candidates. No sooner had the New York Times published a new, unsubstantiated allegation of sexual misconduct by Kavanaugh, then most of the candidates demanded Kavanaugh’s impeachment. “These newest revelations are disturbing,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) wrote on Twitter, adding “Like the man who appointed him, Kavanaugh should be impeached.” Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.) declared Kavanaugh’s “place on the Court is an insult to the pursuit of truth and justice. He must be impeached.” Sen....

More than 650 law professors, including 13 affiliated with Yale Law School and 21 with Harvard Law School, have signed a letter to the Senate arguing that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh should not be confirmed because of his “lack of judicial temperament.” The professors pointed to Kavanaugh’s appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week amid allegations of sexual misconduct, where the Yale Law School graduate defended himself and called the attacks a “grotesque and coordinated character assassination.” “The question at issue was of course painful for anyone. But Judge Kavanaugh exhibited a lack of commitment to judicious inquiry,”...

About half the respondents in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll suspect that President Donald Trump broke the law during the presidential campaign, and just 3 in 10 Americans surveyed think that alleged wrongdoing ends with those who were charged this week by the special counsel. The poll finds substantial support for the investigation, with 58 percent approving of how special counsel Robert Mueller is handling it, and more — 68 percent — approving of the filing of federal charges against Trump’s former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, and one of his associates. First bursting into the headlines when they shut down far-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos in February at the University of California at Berkeley, antifascists again captivated the public imagination by battling the fascists assembled at the “Unite the Right” white power rally in Charlottesville. But what is antifa? Where did it come from? Militant anti-fascist or “antifa” (pronounced ANtifa) is a radical pan-leftist politics of social revolution applied to fighting the far right. Its adherents are predominantly communists, socialists and anarchists who reject turning to the police or the state to halt the advance of white supremacy. Instead they advocate popular...

Leading Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney insistently pledges that he will end public funding for NPR and for PBS (the latter partially funds NPR). Other congressional Republicans agree with him. For decades as a reporter, I have continually found vital information on public radio and television that at first was available nowhere else. A current example that may be of importance to many of you, particularly parents of schoolchildren: An NPR story ("No, the School Nurse Is Not in," Jan. 3) reveals that, "More than half of American public schools don't have a full-time nurse, and the situation is getting...

Gingrich’s recent explanations of his last minute support of TARP reek of crony capitalism.“Gingrich informed a crowd in Davenport, Iowa that, ‘I was very biased against [T.A.R.P.] and had opposed it all the previous week. I had a number of very, very successful businessmen who called me and said that you need to understand, this system is on the edge of total meltdown...' "
