LORAIN, Ohio — An elementary school teacher has been charged with possession of child pornography according to Steven M.Dettelbach, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio. Edward A. Dembiec, 53, of Lorain, Ohio, was charged Friday after a lengthy investigation that found Dembiec possessed the “criminal information on or about October 1, 2008, through May 5, 2013.”

A Middle Township High School teacher turned himself in to the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office on sex assault charges related to crimes against a minor student over the course of a year, Prosecutor Bob Taylor announced today. A substitute teacher was arrested for allegedly engaging in sex acts with a 16-year-old girl in a BMW in Hesperia early Sunday, officials said. A Newport Beach school teacher arrested earlier this year on suspicion of hoarding and neglecting hundreds of snakes pleaded guilty Thursday to one misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty.
