A former Marine allegedly impersonated a security team member for Marine One, the helicopter that transports President Trump on short trips, and breached two checkpoints last week at Palm Beach International Airport, according to authorities. Brandon Magnan, 37, is charged with false personation of an officer or employee of the United States, according to federal court documents. The helicopter unit, known as HMX-1, takes Trump to and from his residence in Florida. Trump was spending his winter vacation at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach at the time of the incident. Magnan approached a security checkpoint near where the helicopter was housed...

President Obama is officially on vacation with his family in Martha's Vineyard but apparently, there just wasn't enough room on 4,000 square feet of Air Force One for their dog Bo. Naturally, the dog was put on a separate flight. Rooms have to be found for dozens of Secret Service agents, someone has to carry a selection of presidential basketballs, and of course the family dog needs his own state-of-the-art aircraft. Arriving in the idyllic coastal retreat of Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts, Mr Obama left behind him in Washington DC high profile debates over the budget, government surveillance and his...

Commercial flight with a pet carrier 99.7% cheaper... Although über-patriot Allen West first made clear to Mark Levin (on his radio show Monday 8/11) that he's loathe to engage in 'small ball' with some of the more petty White House scandals, he nonetheless was asked 'how do you justify' the latest Obama middle-finger-to-America -namely, the shipping of 'Bo' the dog to Martha's Vineyard via two exotic, VERY expensive-to-operate Marine VTOL aircraft... West responded 'You don't' justify it- labeling it 'an outrage'. With Obama -in West's eyes- 'It's not about serving... it's about being served.' He then described today's 'progressive' debt + money-printing-and-spending...

WASHINGTON — The Marine helicopter squadron responsible for flying President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, cabinet members and other VIPs has a new aircraft: An MV-22 Osprey. HMX-1’s tilt-rotor aircraft is painted green and will be used in a support role, transporting the president’s staff and the media, Marine spokesman Capt. Richard Ulsh confirmed. Helicopters that transport the president are typically painted white on top and referred to as “white tops.” “The Osprey is a staple within our fleet. It has proven itself in the most difficult environments as a capable and reliable asset,” Ulsh said, noting that including...

The Pentagon has launched a new project to replace the aging helicopters used by the US president, three years after a program was canceled due to surging costs. The next generation of Marine One choppers used by the White House incumbent would start flying in 2020, replacing the current fleet of 19 Vh-3D Sea Kings and VH-60N Night Hawks manufactured by Sikorsky.

The White House appears to be going to great lengths to prevent traffic tie-ups from President Obama's visit to Southern California on Friday by transporting him to two events on the Marine One helicopter rather than on local roads. Obama touched down at LAX on Friday and was whisked by the helicopter to USC for a speech and rally. The chopper was set to land at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum. After his USC event, he was to take Marine One to Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, then shuttle by motorcade to the Univision studios in Glendale. The motorcade is expected...

When President Obama boards Marine One to fly to Andrews Air Force Base, helicopter crew chief Sgt. Brad Kelle has already been at work for at least four hours. The Marine from northwest suburban Wauconda says the 100-foot helicopter, which seats 30, undergoes a meticulous cleaning, one that goes beyond normal maintenance. And the crew, he said, practices "picking up, coming down and doing a landing, and practice at least twice the full shutdown of the helicopter as part of our preparation." Then the crew flies to the South Lawn of the White House, arriving at least two hours before...
