Barack Obama held a press conference today in Washington DC with Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff today in the White House. obama brazilian leader Obama compared the US to Brazil, including our “similar histories”(?) “Our common values, our strong people-to-people relationships that we have, the fact that we are the largest countries in the hemisphere, with similar histories, I think all that means that we should be very strong partners for years and years.”

Normally I add a paragraph of two of explanation of my subject matter for the benefit of any readers that may not be familiar with the subject that I am addressing. In this case, if you have not heard of the Terri Schiavo case, I suggest you quit now and read something else. Maybe no other case in recent history, including the O. J. Simpson and Scott Peterson cases, has generated as much controversy as the Terri Schiavo case. I can’t begin to count how many articles and opinions and I’ve read and heard in the past couple of weeks....

Ken Mehlman, Bush campaign manager, told NBC's "Meet the Press" that the campaign should focus on Kerry's judgment during his 20 years in office. We will, too, starting soon. However, Bob Dole said two weeks ago that he can't remember a single piece of legislation that Kerry sponsored. We can. We can remember a lot of the hateful legislation Kerry supported; legislation that would have definitely been harmful to low and middle-income American families. Democrats are generally uninformed, politically. In all fairness, many of them are occupied trying to make ends meet and just have no time to pay attention...
