Here’s some scalding tea for you: Faye Dunaway was fired from what would have been a Broadway production of Tea at Five, thanks to some utterly unhinged behavior on-set. According to the New York Post, the 78-year-old Dunaway lost her role playing Katharine Hepburn after production members accused her of creating a “hostile” and “dangerous” work environment. To the pull quotes! The July 10 performance was canceled moments before curtain because Dunaway slapped and threw things at crew members who were trying to put on her wig, sources say. Enraged at the cancellation, Dunaway began “verbally abusing” the crew. They...
  • Katharine Hepburn and Donald Trump

Donald Trump has won the presidency against the predictions of many many pundits and is now taking America out of senseless wars despite constant vitriolic attacks. Katherine Hepburn was labelled "box office poison" in the 1930'sand then went on to win two more Oscars in the 1960's and an all-time record fourth in 1981.

HEPBURN, Saskatchewan,- A small town in Saskatchewan has voted to allow the sale of alcohol after being dry for more than a century, officials said. Hepburn, with a population of 562 residents, has no official law banning alcohol, but was founded by Mennonites, who do not drink, CBC News reported Friday. The town has not sold liquor in any of its stores for decades. However, this week, Hepburn residents voted in favor of allowing liquor sales. The town will file an application with the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority to allow a local co-op store to sell alcohol. Verna Paetkau,...

BROOKLYN, NY (PIX11)— Breakfast at Tiffany's is a popular movie classic, but it is now coming under fire from Asian groups in Brooklyn who are asking people to boycott the movie. Breakfast at Tiffany's is set to be shown on August 14th as part of a free film series in Brooklyn Bridge Park

Then again, in turn, his performance doesn’t seem quite so bad when compared with Mickey Rooney in the role of Mr Yunioshi, Holly’s bucktoothed, yellowface Japanese neighbour. Though the problem here is less with the acting than with the stereotypical nature of the role. “O me so sorry! Me love you long time!” It makes The Black and White Minstrel Show look like a government ethnic minority recruitment campaign. Apparently, director Blake Edwards subsequently expressed regret, saying “looking back, I wish I had never done it”, but this doesn’t change the fact that one of the most acclaimed films of...

I watched The African Queen, again this week. That classic movie, starring Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn, offered a clear explanation of several current news events this week. What is the lesson of The African Queen? It is this: Understand your circumstances, and set your goal based on that. In that movie, the goal was to sink the German warship, The Louisa. And that goal dictated the tactics which had to be taken, regardless of danger or odds against them, to reach that goal. As a reminder of that fine movie, the tactics were for Charlie Allnut and Rose Sayers...

<p>OLD SAYBROOK, CT -- While most of Katharine Hepburn's estate will go to her family, the actress left money to the small Maryland church where her grandfather was a pastor and 4 pristine beachfront acres for "exclusively public purposes."</p> <p>Hepburn's will, written in 1992, was filed with the town's probate court Friday. She died at her waterfront home in the exclusive Fenwick section June 29. The will does not say how much her estate is worth.</p>

After dropping out of art school in NYC in 1982 and now fully immersed in the "gay" lifestyle, I decided I was going to make it in the art world as a "famous" portrait painter. My goal was to be "Stephen Bennett: Celebrity Artist to the Stars." My dreams were to have my own art gallery on Rodeo Drive in California, Mercedes Benz and boyfriend extraordinaire. I figured my paintings would sell for $50,000.00 and up - mere pocket change for the celebrities. In the late '80s, my dreams slowly began to happen. I began doing celebrity portrait work (hardly...
