CNN White House correspondent John Harwood is leaving the network, marking the latest liberal figure there to leave in the Chris Licht era. Harwood, who has a long history of openly bashing Republicans despite being billed as a journalist, announced the news himself on Friday. "Today's my last day at CNN," he wrote on Twitter. CNN’s White House correspondent John Harwood said Friday on “New Day” that President Joe Biden’s speech on the coronavirus pandemic conveyed empathy which “all Americans have been missing” in their president. Harwood said, “I think a spiking the football is the last thing that President Biden wanted to do. What was notable about the speech was the appeal to universal values. CHICAGO— The fiance of a suburban Chicago woman accusing Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain of making a sexual advance says the woman stepped forward because she felt she had to. Sharon Bialek challenged Cain on Monday at a news conference in New York. Her fiance is 49-year-old Mark Harwood of Mundelein.
