Counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway claimed that President Donald Trump's warnings of violent migrants making their way toward the U.S. were vindicated over the weekend by clashes at the Mexican border, .....[snip] "Everything that was predicted by the president and Secretary Nielsen and homeland security and others has come true," Conway told Fox News' "Fox & Friends" on Tuesday. GEORGETOWN, Del. - In a Monday school board meeting, the Indian River School District voiced concern over the 117 immigrant children who are now being housed in Delaware as they wait for their deportation hearings. Indian River has the largest hispanic population in Sussex County, and it's board members said the newcomers could mean problems for the school district. School board member Donald Hattier is the one who recommended this discussion be put on the meeting's agenda. He said there are still a lot of unknowns about the placement of these children, which he considers troubling. "We don't know," he...

A protest in Los Angeles over a deadly police shooting of an immigrant turned into a clash between the cops and demonstrators Monday. Police donned riot gear to clear an area near MacArthur Park around 10 p.m. as angry protesters began throwing bottles and setting trash cans on fire. Only a couple of people were arrested, police said. The clash was sparked by an incident on Sunday afternoon, when bicycle cops were alerted to a man allegedly waving a knife at pedestrians. When they arrived, offices ordered the man to drop the blade. When he refused, he was shot dead....

SALCAJA, Guatemala -- Working and going to school have become optional in this highland Guatemalan town, thanks to a flood of U.S. dollars sent home by migrants living in the United States. The family-run mills that produce brightly colored, hand-woven traditional fabrics have fallen quiet as their potential work force -- mostly young men -- hang out at the town's pool halls or video game salons, living off remittances and waiting to make their own journeys north. "Kids have easy money, and the only thing they know how to do is spend it on video games," complained Salcaja Mayor Miguel...
