SAN DIEGO (AP) — A California judge said Thursday that all restaurants in San Diego County can resume on-site dining with safety protocols, marking a major setback to the governor’s stay-at-home order to slow the spread of the coronavirus. San Diego Superior Court Judge Joel Wohlfeil said the ruling he issued Wednesday that protected two strip clubs from being forced to stop indoor activity also extended to the thousands of eateries ...

There is no dancing allowed in New York’s bars and restaurants, even at a wedding reception, according to the New York State Liquor Authority. To control the spread of the coronavirus, Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s liquor authority has also specifically banned darts, pool, cornhole, karaoke and exotic dancing. Somehow, a place that allows customers to throw axes and drink beer is reopening Friday. There was no word from the liquor authority on how that fits in to safety protocols. No kidding. Cuomo has also banned comedy shows. The intent is to reduce the number of people congregating in bars. If you...

the city council of Bellingham, Washington, will vote Monday on various “emergency” proposals that include a curfew; banning the possession, transfer, and carrying of firearms as well as banning alcohol sales; closing city streets, businesses, and community buildings to the public; and prohibiting the sale of fuel in any container other than a fuel tank properly affixed to a motor vehicle. . . . A Christian school in California is facing a huge battle with the state. Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) is representing River View Christian Academy in northern California. The school was raided earlier in the year, SWAT style, by the state. According to PJI, the raid was carried out by 16 armed law enforcement from California Highway Patrol, two canine units and 17 social workers. Students and staff were horrified by the sudden and unexpected attack. The state was misled into thinking that the school was harboring illegal drugs, amassing ammunition, and preparing for doomsday. RVCA works under the ministry Teen Rescue,...

People we have to stop the madness, it is time to protect the children and the elderly from THE health crisis of our day. That crisis is stairs, the scourge of many a child and older folk. Every year thousands are injured and million more suffer from the affliction of Climacophobia and Bathmophobia. It is time that we turned our focus on Constitutionally protected rights to things that have no constitutional underpinnings. Sure, you’re protected in expressing you opinion and bearing a gun to protect yourself, but here we have an opportunity to really take control of people’s lives and...

“Take Down That Sign Or Go To Jail”… Having lived in California my whole life I am often embarrassed to admit that’s where I live. It is stories like this that show what weak minded and weak stomached citizens we have in the state. National City officials are upset over the picture of an AR-15 being on a gunstore sign. Apparently the mere sight of a gun is just too much to handle. Via Freedom Outpost: Ares Armor is a small tactical company that operates a store in National City, California. Recently the town of National City disapproved of a...

The Department of Health and Human Services, which thanks to ObamaCare will soon be the most powerful and unaccountable government organization in the Western world, has really been feeling its oats lately. Fresh from its triumph in forcing Catholics to pay for contraception, agents of the Division of Child Development and Early Education moved to seize an improperly packed lunch from a little girl at a North Carolina elementary school, and assess a modest fine against her mother. The Carolina Journal reports on this thrill-packed adventure of the Food Police: A preschooler at West Hoke Elementary School ate three chicken...

America's socialists advocate that we adopt a universal healthcare system like our northern neighbor Canada. Before we buy into complete socialization of our healthcare system, we might check out the Canadian Supreme Court's June 9th ruling in Chaoulli v. Quebec (Attorney General). It turns out that in order to prop up government-delivered medical care, Quebec and other Canadian provinces have outlawed private health insurance. By a 4 to 3 decision, Canada's high court struck down Quebec's law that prohibits private medical insurance. With all of the leftist hype extolling the "virtues" of Canada's universal healthcare system, you might wonder why...
