McCain’s memorial remembrances were filled with themes of unity, inclusion, and compromise. They stressed how McCain was someone who could reach across the aisle, find consensus, and put differences aside to bring people together for the greater good. It’s too bad McCain’s final actions contradicted that message... Senator McCain had a perfect opportunity to be the “maverick” of his reputation. He could have been the unifier. He could have done the right thing by allowing even those he had unresolved issues with, differences with, to come and pay their respects and to honor him. He could have shown the country,...

Remember Ted Kennedy in 1987 claiming that if the Senate confirmed Robert Bork to the Supreme Court, “women would be forced into back-alley abortions [and] blacks would sit at segregated lunch counters?” Not vitriolic. How about the 1991 “high-tech lynching” by Senate Dems of Clarence Thomas? Again, not vitriolic. Or the infamous NAACP dragging-death ad of 2000 in which George W. Bush was accused of killing the victim all over again? Nope, not vitriolic. No, the political vitriol didn’t begin until 2008. And it was Sarah Palin’s fault. That is, if you believe CNN, and, apparently, John McCain. This morning,...

I was going to send flowers but have decided instead to send a contribution to Trump 2020. Even in your final days on this good earth you spewed anger and hate. Now I hear that Sarah Palin, a loyal VP running mate, is not invited to your funeral. Have a nice day.- Sincerely, just one of the millions who had no choice but to cast their vote for you in 08.

John McCain passed away Saturday night at the age of 81 after a battle with brain cancer but that did not stop him from taking one last shot at President Trump from beyond the grave. McCain’s farewell message to the nation was read aloud in Phoenix on Monday afternoon by Rick Davis, a former campaign manager for McCain.

Governor Palin wowed the crowd as she arrived on the "red carpet" for Saturday Night Live’s 40th Anniversary 3-hour special. She stopped on the "red carpet" to talk with actor Alec Baldwin, quipping that she likes his brother, Stephen –a conservative– better. NBC anchors Savannah Guthrie and Matt Lauer intereviewed the two of them, and it may be me, but it seemed as though Baldwin was doing his best to keep Gov. Palin from talking. After Guthrie asked her a direct question, Baldwin was forced to listen, while chomping on his gum (or could it have been leftover food from dinner?)Twitchy caught some of the...

Deal with it. Former Alaska Governor and Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin said she hopes to again run for elected office. In a Tuesday interview on Fox Business with Stuart Varney, Palin gleefully acknowledged that getting back in the political arena will "bug the crap" out of liberals and the mainstream press. [...] Nobody has ever exposed the mainstream media for who they truly are, including their double standards and ugly biases, than Palin. In addition, she has also allowed opportunistic and jealous Republicans--especially insecure male losers who may have unresolved issues from their past that they can't seem to let...

Meghan McCain might change a few words around, but she's not too worried about how her criticisms of Sarah Palin have aged over the past few years. In an interview with Politico, the TV show host and daughter of Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) stood by her remarks against her father's onetime running mate. “You know Sarah Palin, some of the stuff I said, again I would maybe term differently,” McCain said. “But I think the criticism I have said of her is fair." In her 2010 memoir, "Dirty Sexy Politics," McCain wrote that Palin's selection as the vice presidential candidate...

Through Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has burst back into the political spotlight this month, while her family life has once again become part of the broader American conversation. But it is Ms. Palin's groundwork on behalf of candidates across the country, along with her continued fund-raising abilities, that has Republican leaders and political strategists wondering whether she is gearing up for a presidential bid in 2012. Ms. Palin's intentions remain unclear, and unstated. She declined to comment through her political-action committee. But her influence is undeniable: On Sunday, SarahPAC disclosed contributions of at least $87,500...

Her first chapter, in national politics, exploded then fizzled when the former Republican vice presidential candidate unexpectedly retired as governor of Alaska in July. Now, Palin is back, as her memoir, "Going Rogue: An American Life" has been moved up by the Harper imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, according to The Wall Street Journal. The book has been moved up to Nov. 17 from next spring. The publishing house said it is distributing 1.5 million copies of Palin's book -- an enormous commitment -- and it will cost $28.99. The electronic edition won't be ready until Dec. 26.

Robin of Berkeley wrote an amazing piece on the state of our society. Robin is a frequent contributor to American Thinker, a recoverning liberal and a psychotherapist in Berkeley. After I grew up and became a psychotherapist, I learned that there was a name for Tom's (the author’s older brother) behavior, sadism. Sadists get a thrill out of being cruel and watching others suffer and it seems many in power are sadists.

Governor Palin's Op-ed in The Washington Post: There is no shortage of threats to our economy. America's unemployment rate recently hit its highest mark in more than 25 years and is expected to continue climbing. Worries are widespread that even when the economy finally rebounds, the recovery won't bring jobs. Our nation's debt is unsustainable, and the federal government's reach into the private sector is unprecedented.

Willie Brown, Mayor of San Francisco from 1996 to 2004 & Speaker of the California Assembly from 1980 to 1995 had this to say about Governor Palin: The pundits are wrong. Conventional wisdom is wrong. Sarah Palin's decision to step down as Alaska governor was a brilliant move.
