A controversial law enforcement officer who is known for his fiery temper and over-the-top rhetoric is reportedly being eyed by the White House for a job in the Department of Homeland Security. According to Politico, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke is being considered by President Donald Trump for the job of assistant secretary at the DHS’ Office of Partnership and Engagement. If selected, Clarke would be tasked with coordinating outreach between tribal officials, state and local officials, and law enforcement.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Gov. Jim Justice has signed a law ending a doctor's ability to waive the legal requirement to notify parents of an underage daughter's abortion. It allows only a judge to waive parental notification. Under the old law, a physician other than the one performing an abortion can waive the requirement by finding that the minor is mature enough to decide independently or that notification wouldn't be in her best interest.

THE PRESIDENT: Thank you, Chris, for that kind introduction and for your tremendous work on behalf of our Second Amendment. Thank you very much. (Applause.) I want to also thank Wayne LaPierre for his unflinching leadership in the fight for freedom. Wayne, thank you very much. Great. (Applause.) I'd also like to congratulate Karen Handel on her incredible fight in Georgia 6. (Applause.) The election takes place on June 20th. And, by the way, on primaries, let's not have 11 Republicans running for the same position, okay? (Laughter.) It's too nerve-shattering. She's totally for the NRA and she's totally for...

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump has made cracking down on illegal immigration a centerpiece of his administration -- but so far his administration is deporting fewer people than his predecessor.According to statistics from Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) given to CNN, the pace of removals under Trump in his first three months lags behind even the last two years of his predecessor, when then-President Barack Obama ordered his agencies to use more discretion when it came to deporting undocumented immigrants, focusing specifically on criminals.

Megan, a server at a Tex-Mex restaurant in Missouri recently got this “tip” from someone who is not a fan of the individual income tax. Undoubtedly, a libertarian. On the tip line, the customer put a big zero, in addition to: “Taxation is Theft.” To further clarify, the customer put some loose cash on top of the receipt with a note saying, “This is not a tip. This is a personal gift and not subject to federal or state income taxes.” The Reddit post was aptly titled, “The Libertarian way to leave a ‘tip.’” Is this stupid anarchic libertarianism at...

The U.S. NSA has halted a form of surveillance that allowed it to collect without a warrant the digital communications of Americans that mentioned a foreign intelligence target, the spy agency confirmed on Friday, Reuters reports. Via Reuters: The decision to stop the once-secret activity, which collected messages sent to or received from people believed to be living overseas, arrives as a sudden and unexpected triumph for privacy advocates who were long critical of the program, which U.S. officials had defended as both lawful and important to national security. The halt is among the most substantial changes to U.S. surveillance...

North Korea test-fired a ballistic missile on Saturday in local time, Korean news service Yonhap reported citing South Korea's military. Yonhap reported that the test appears to have failed. One U.S. official confirmed to NBC news that there was a test, but that it was not nuclear. The incident comes as the United States reconsiders its strategy in dealing with the isolated nation. In an interview with Reuters published late Thursday, President Donald Trump said he wants South Korea to pay for the $1 billion missile defense system. The system, the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), is designed to...

President Donald Trump declared Friday that an "eight-year assault" on Second Amendment rights had come to a "crashing end" with his election. "No longer will federal agencies be coming after law-abiding gun owners. No longer will the government be trying to undermine your rights and freedoms as Americans," Trump said during his speech to the National Rifle Association in Atlanta. "Instead we will work with you by your side," he said. On the eve of his 100th day in office, Trump hopes the speech can help renew his standing among a conservative base wary after watching the President reverse course...

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A prominent Florida eye doctor accused of political corruption was convicted of Medicare fraud Friday, increasing the odds that federal prosecutors could pressure him to testify against New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez. Dr. Salomon Melgen faces 15 to 20 years in prison on 67 counts, including health care fraud, submitting false claims and falsifying records in patients' files, if he doesn't strike a deal before his sentencing, scheduled for July 14. The senator denies any wrongdoing. The doctor, 62, collected more money from Medicare than any other physician in the nation — $21...

On the eve of his 100th day in office, President Trump rallied a convention of the National Rifle Association by vowing to "never, ever infringe" on Second Amendment rights and declaring his predecessor's alleged "assault" on those freedoms is over. “I am here to deliver you good news: the eight-year assault on your Second Amendment freedoms has come to a crashing end,” Trump told the cheering crowd. Trump is the first sitting president to address an NRA convention in more than three decades. The last president to do so was Ronald Reagan in 1983. Trump started his address with a...

I will not rehash things I have said before concerning traitor Ryan. His ineffectiveness as a leader and untrustworthiness and to me his intent to derail the repeal and replace obamma care is an attack on Trump's promise. I still think Romney still has his finger in something related to Ryan's actions and inactions.

Longtime Democrat pollster and analyst Pat Caddell talked with Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Friday about his thoughts and observations on President Donald’s Trump’s first 100 days in office, as well as the recent performance of both major parties. Asked what kind of a “letter grade” he would give Trump for his first 100 days, Caddell said, “I would give him a C+, which is not great, but that’s okay because I give the Democrats and Republicans Fs and F-s. And I give the press, as you might have guessed, a letter that doesn’t exist.”

House Democrats this week buried a report analyzing the party’s failings in 2016 from the party’s members, Politico has revealed. After a five month wait, Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY) presented his findings to lawmakers at a members-only event at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) headquarters Thursday night. The report detailed both the reasons behind Hillary Clinton’s defeat in the presidential election and the party’s failure to win back control of Congress.

Chuck Schumer (D-NY) had a sit-down interview with MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt and couldn’t name a single Democrat who could beat Donald Trump in the 2020 election. Chuckie also couldn’t name the leader of the Democrat party–that’s because they don’t have one! Unless of course you count Maxine Waters. Hah! Kasie Hunt: “I would like one very short answer to this question. Who in the Democratic party can beat President Trump in 2020?” Schumer: “Lots of people.” Hunt: “One name?” Schumer: “Not gonna pick a name, but if he continues– Hunt: “Who’s the leader of the Democratic party? You?” Schumer: “Well...

The North Carolina House of Representatives approved legislation in a lopsided 67-48 vote Thursday that would shield drivers from civil liability if they collide with protesters. Opponents say the legislation is unnecessary and may give drivers the false impression they can maliciously run over activists. One Democrat warned it would make the state the butt of jokes about being full of “dumb rednecks.” But Republican proponents, who sent the measure to the state Senate by a veto-proof margin, say recent encounters between activists and drivers makes the reform both sensible and necessary.

The White House says President Donald Trump is appointing the former president of a leading anti-abortion organization to a senior position at the Department of Health and Human Services. Charmaine Yoest, who actively supported Trump in his campaign, will serve as assistant secretary of public affairs at HHS. From 2008 until February 2016, she was president of Americans United for Life, which campaigned at the federal and state level for tough restrictions on abortion. Among the many state bills backed by the group under Yoest's leadership were measures that would ban most abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, require women...

With just hours to spare, Congress easily approved a short-term spending bill Friday that would prevent a partial federal shutdown over the weekend. But on President Donald Trump's 99th day in office, lawmakers were leaving until next week without completing two other measures he's coveted: A Republican health care overhaul and a budget financing government for the entire year. The Senate sent the temporary spending measure to Trump by voice vote after the House approved it by a lopsided 382-30 vote. The bill keeps the government functioning through next Friday, which leaders hope will give bipartisan bargainers enough time to...

Chuckie also couldn’t name the leader of the Democrat party–that’s because they don’t have one! Unless of course you count Maxine Waters. Hah! The Democrat party is in turmoil. Their anti-American, anti-white, pro-Islam message is failing. Americans are sick of the failing policies from the left; we are sick of the non-stop negativity. Americans want jobs and security. Trump is able to convey that message, not the clowns on the left.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama appeared to rule out running for elected office during her first public remarks since leaving the White House. "It's all well and good until you start running, and then the knives come out." It's hard on a family, she said. "I wouldn't ask my children to do this again because when you run for higher office, it's not just you. It's your whole family." But "public service will always be in our blood", she added. Although Mrs Obama had played down her political ambitions before, while first lady, this is the first time she has...
