It seems that the HBO fictional film Recount has triggered some horrible memories of vote suppression and fraud perpetrated by the evil Republicans. An early review is in for HBO's upcoming movie, Recount, about the Bush-Gore battle in Florida after 2000 election. Gillian Flynn in Entertainment Weekly, which like HBO is part of the Time-Warner family, has described the film, to premiere next Sunday night, as tilted against the Republican characters. OK folks. It was seven years ago tonight that Gore finally gave up his unethical bid to reverse a Presidential election. I thought it would be interesting to mosey down memory lane to recall not just the concession but the 36 days of rancor preceding. I'm hoping for the discussion to focus on the legal (and unethical) maneuvers by Gore and Co. during those 36 days as opposed to making judgements about Bush since the election. I'm confident that 99% of Freepers would still believe that Bush was better than any Gore Presidency.

This VIDEO was taken with a handheld camera by Spike Jonze who followed Al Gore around for a day with the camera in 2000. Not seen on TV before and just recently released online. The DUmmies think that if this video had been televised during the 2000 campaign, he would have won the election. I don't agree. The references he made in the video about not being "stiff" would have made himself even more of a laughingstock.

Questions Frustrate Candidate...... Kathy Taylor, a Democrat running for Tulsa Mayor, storms off after agreeing to talk with reporters. KRMG received documents indicating she voted here in 2000 and also cast an absentee ballot in Florida.
