The following piece appeared on the Coach is Right website, one day after the death of Marion Barry on November 23rd, 1994. Lest we forget the quality of Democrat politicians. Now that Marion Shepilov Barry has gone to the great crack den in the sky it is worth noting what a lowlife he was. This is an honest obituary of one of the worst mayors in American history. *Democrat Marion Barry was the mayor of the District of Columbia from 1979 to 1991 and again from 1995 to 1999. Marion Barry *Because he loved Communism so much Barry took the...

Apparently this never got posted here because of the limitations of probation, so here you go: So...here we are...18 years. Mostly good. Clintons a Liar, Dr Raouls costumes, AppyPappy's daughter singing the National Anthem, Kristinns wonderful reporting. The repugnant lies of Classy Green Eyed Blonde and DeepInTheHurtgenForest. The surreal cryptic posts of quidam. The lib trolls like Eschoir. The March for Justice? Heady times. They really were. Fighting against a President who had the gall to look us in the eye and lie to us. But the last 9 months? Absolutely unrecognizable. A lot of great FReepers run off. And...

Federal prosecutors will seek the death penalty for Dylann Roof, who is accused of killing nine people at a historic African-American church in Charleston, South Carolina, in July 2015. Roof, who is white, is charged with 33 federal offenses, including hate crime charges for allegedly targeting his victims on the basis of their race and religion. A judge entered a not guilty plea on his behalf in July 2015. "The nature of the alleged crime and the resulting harm compelled this decision," Attorney General Loretta Lynch said.

The deaths were reported by Palestinian media cited by Walla, and mark the eleventh tunnel cave-in in recent months. " /img> The last collapse, which came in mid-March, saw a Hamas "field commander" die during work on a terror tunnel, two days after the bodies of two Arab workers were found in a tunnel on the southern Gazan border that was flooded by Egypt three days earlier. With the five...

When Sundance replaced Mark Levin in the hearts of so many Freepers, I should have taken the hint. The site has become almost totally partisan. That partisanship is leading to such incredible, slanderous commentary that you would have to look twice to see if you are at FR or DU. We talk about a circular firing squad, and here one pops up. We are destroying our chance to move the ultra left out of the White House by trying to destroy each other. So finally, sadly, I think it is time for me to go, I don't want to be...

Farewell to the man who invented 'climate change’ To this day, global climate policy is still shaped by the agenda of Maurice Strong, a Canadian multimillionaire During the Second World War, having emerged from humble origins in the Great Depression, Strong became convinced that the new United Nations should become a world government, dedicated to ensuring that the wealth enjoyed by the richer countries of the West should be spread out around the world’s underprivileged majority. In 2005, Strong was caught having been illicitly paid $1 million from the UN’s Oil for Food programme, supposedly set up to allow Saddam...

Bill O’Reilly, the host of Fox News’s “The O’Reilly Factor,†is threatening to flee the country if Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) — the self-described democratic socialist who is running for the Democratic Party nomination — is elected president. As quoted in the Huffington Post, O’Reilly said: “If Bernie Sanders gets elected president, I’m fleeing … I’m going to Ireland. And they already know it. … I shouldn’t say it publicly because that will get Sanders more votes,†he said. “But I’m not going to pay 90 percent of my income to that guy. I’m sorry. I’m not doing it.†O’Reilly...

A white bleeding-heart leftist couple made headlines when they generously opened their home to a group of Muslim refugees allegedly fleeing devout Muslim militants. However, it didn't take long for their liberal policies to backfire in a racist and ironic way - and it's exactly the poetic justice we've been warning about all along.

The United States comes up constantly when you talk to Russians about their country's place in the world. But the conversations tend to go a lot differently than many Americans might expect. In the US, the common view is that Russians feel aggrieved by the loss of the Soviet Union and all the respect that came with being a global superpower. Russia's acts of aggression in Europe, in this telling, are all about challenging the American-led order as a way to prove Russia's might and importance. This aggression is wildly popular among Russians, many Americans believe, because it makes them...

The Texas state director of Republican presidential hopeful Jeb Bush's young donor program has quit and is planning to join the campaign of Democrat Martin O'Malley. Shooter Russell, a University of Texas sophomore who since June had held the formal role with Bush's "Mission: NEXT program," told the Houston Chronicle he made the switch because of the GOP's opposition to people fleeing war-torn Syria. "The final nail in the coffin were Trump's comments on Muslims, the inaction by the party, and our very own state's actions on blocking Syrian refugees," said Russell, who added that he has cousins who do...

Syrian rebel sources claimed Saturday night that they had killed Iranian al Qods chief, the commander of Iranian forces in Iraq and Syria, Gen. Qassem Soleiman, in the fighting east of Aleppo. This claim is not confirmed by any other sources. The rebels say they located the Iranian general’s movements by means of intelligence and struck his car with a TOW missile, killing him and three other Iranian commanders with him, Masoud Askari, Mahmud Dahakan and Ahmed Rajai. If this is confirmed it would count as a signal Syrian rebel feat.
