President Obama may enjoy the approval of 84% of blacks, but don’t count CJ Pearson among them. Pearson, a 12-year-old middle school student in Georgia, has more informed opinions than many adults. The student posted a YouTube video yesterday in which he seeks to “applaud Mayor Rudy Giuliani for his comments about President Barack Obama.”

A group of 23 liberal House Democrats urged Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Thursday to delay Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's address to Congress next month. In the letter spearheaded by Reps. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) and Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), the lawmakers argued that Netanyahu was being used as a "political tool" against President Obama. "As members of Congress who support Israel, we share concern that it appears that you are using a foreign leader as a political tool against the president," they wrote. Netanyahu's March 3 address will be just two weeks before the Israeli elections and...

[Snip] “I want a place where queer and trans families can bring their kids and not have to worry about being the token lesbian family or the token gay family,” Christian Zsilavetz, a chief founder, said, according to Pink News. Zsilavetz explained that he believes Atlanta needs a school where gay students are segregated from the general student population because too many children are...

When I told my friends in New Jersey nearly ten years ago that I was packing my bags and heading south, they thought I’d lost my mind. ...(snip)......When I told them I had no desire to inherit the pension liabilities that New Jersey’s public unions and politicians were irresponsibly saddling on their own citizens, things got downright gloomy......(snip) Last month, in a move that shocked residents of northern New Jersey, Daimler’s Mercedes-Benz USA announced it was moving its headquarters from Montvale (just miles from where I grew up) to Sandy Springs, Ga. And it’s bringing nearly 1,000 people along with...

A state-level campaign to rein in the federal government by calling an unprecedented convention to amend the U.S. Constitution is gaining steam, picking up support from two high-profile Republicans as more states explore the idea. Coburn, a legendary government-waste watchdog, announced this week that he has joined the effort by becoming a senior adviser for the group Convention of States Action, which wants states, not just Congress, to pass constitutional amendments. Article V of the Constitution states amendments can be ratified either by Congress or by states if two-thirds of them petition Congress to call a convention. Then, any amendment...

On February 8, a customer who ignored Sonic’s request that “customers refrain from bringing guns to the restaurant” was able to pull his gun and shoot one of three alleged armed robbers, killing him and stopping the would-be robbery. Breitbart News previously reported that on May 30, 2014, Sonic asked law-abiding citizens to come to the restaurant unarmed. We also reported that a Sonic in Topeka, Kansas, was robbed the very day that customers were asked to come and eat while defenseless.

The state of Georgia is issuing driver’s licenses to illegal aliens. After years of explaining this fact to astonished Georgians all over the state, I have still not grown accustomed to the shock and outrage they so vocally express. “But Georgia is governed by Republicans! – what is this, California?” is the most common reply that is printable here. They seem to become even angrier when someone correctly points out that illegal aliens cannot obtain a driver’s license in Mexico. For those readers who are wondering – no, this bewildering assault on our driver’s license integrity is not a result...

State legislators around the country have introduced more than 200 bills aiming to nullify regulations and laws coming out of Washington, D.C., as they look to rein in the federal government. The legislative onslaught, which includes bills targeting federal restrictions on firearms, experimental treatments and hemp, reflects growing discord between the states and Washington, state officials say. “You have a choice,” said Kentucky state Rep. Diane St. Onge (R). “To sit back and not do anything or say anything and let overregulation continue — or you have the alternative choice to speak up about it and say, ‘We know what...

There are understandable differences of opinion between the American and Israel leaders on the issue of Islamist terrorism. It is wholly appropriate and desirable that they should be heard in the U.S. Congress. It is therefore painful that some honorable Democratic members of Congress should be so misguided as to declare that they will not attend the Israeli leader’s address. John Lewis (Georgia), a hero of the civil rights movement, G.K. Butterfield (North Carolina), chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, and Eric Blumenauer (Oregon) are among those who are engaging in what is tantamount to a boycott of Israel. According...

Insider says Obama administration 'sent a message' to black Democratic lawmakers that they should skip Netanyahu speech to Congress, as Biden says he'll be a no-show **SNIP** That disapproval apparently was orchestrated, or at least strongly encouraged, by the White House through comamunications with lawmakers connected to the Congressional Black Caucus. 'I'm not saying the president called anyone personally,' a current White House staffer told Daily Mail Online. 'But yeah, the White House sent a message to some at the CBC that they should suddenly be very upset about the speech.' The source said it was a 'back-channel' arrangement that...

(VIDEO-AT-LINK) A Georgia middle school teacher has been suspended, docked five days of pay and must participate in diversity training because she posted her negative view of a person holding a “Black Lives Matter” sign on her personal Facebook account. The teacher, Kelly Tucker, teaches at Eighth Street Middle School in Tifton, Ga., a town of about 17,000 in the southern part of the state. Tucker’s Dec. 6 Facebook post, which went viral (at least locally) read: “Its turned into a race matter. What about the thugs that beat the father in his vehicle because he didn’t slow down? What...

The mother of a mentally disabled man allegedly beaten at a Gordon facility that cared for disabled adults has filed suit seeking punitive damages. The lawsuit, filed Tuesday by Betty Gill in Bibb County Superior Court, claims that her son, Joseph Allen Cason Jr., also was taken to vote in the 2013 Gordon city election, although he lived in another county. Employees, while acting in their scope of employment, allegedly took Cason and other residents to the polls to vote for the sister of the facility’s owner, who was running for mayor, according to the suit.

Newt absolutely unloads on Obama's 'insane' remarks at today's National Prayer Breakfast where he compared what's radical Islam is doing today to what Christianity did in the past. Gingrich says, "These comments today are just the tip of an iceberg of pro-radical Islamist bias which runs through this entire Administration" -- Listen

Dan from Squirrel Hill's Blog Vermont just replaced its only only nuclear reactor (which had accounted for 71.8% of the state’s electricity production) with fossil fuels obtained from fracking For the past 42 years, Vermont’s only nuclear power plant was responsible for 71.8% of the state’s electricity production. This huge amount of electricity was generated by a single nuclear reactor.Vermont has just shut down this reactor. The replacement energy source for this shut down reactor is shale gas, a fossil fuel whose combustion causes global warming, and which is obtained from fracking. And all this time, I had thought that liberals in Vermont...

After the recent and ongoing killings of unarmed Black men by police officers, a new Atlanta-based group called the Coalition to Combat Police Terrorism is adding its voice to discussions of how police brutality has been plaguing the Black community. Many groups have been formed specifically to help combat police brutality but there has been a recent surge in Black vigilante groups sharing more radical views on the issue. In a country where police officers are viewed by many as heroes, the Coalition to Combat Police Terrorism cites history to make the claim that the modern police are just an...

The 2016 Republican nominating season is beginning to move to the next level as events like last weekend’s Iowa Freedom Summit give candidates more opportunities to interact with primary voters in early states. Although Jeb Bush’s announcement late last year that he will explore a candidacy has shaken up the race, the Republicans can hardly be described as closing ranks around the former Florida governor. It remains likely that the Republican primary field will be large, and by most measures, strong, leading to a genuinely competitive primary. Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin is the kind of candidate who can easily...
